Daryl Hannah, Jennifer Tilly, Bruce Greenwood, Vincent Gallo

Some people just shouldn't have children, and this offbeat thriller shows why. Jack (Bruce Greenwood) and Ann (Daryl Hannah) are a married couple whose lives seems nearly perfect, and they couldn't be... read more read more... happier when, after months of trying, Ann discovers that she's going to have a baby. Jack is understandably distraught when Ann is kidnapped, and he's later told that she's been killed. Actually, the truth is considerably more disturbing -- a psychotic doctor (Vincent Gallo) and his wife (Jennifer Tilly) want a child but have been unable to conceive, so they kidnap the pregnant Ann and attempt to falsify her death, intending to keep her until her child is born, and then raise the baby as their own. Hide and Seek was also released under the title Cord. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

I was a bit worried at first, but this movie turned out to have some good stuff in it. Jennifer Tilly reaches new levels of creepy in this one. Vincent Gallo really had no business with her, and unforntunately he left the movie a bit too early.

I reserve half-star ratings for very special exceptions. Hide and Seek is one of the few movies I've seen that fits my "half star" criteria. First of all, this has no reason to exist in the first place. The worst kind of straight-to-video garbage, it shamelessly force-feeds clich... read morees while also messing up the most fundamental ideas of conventional writing. Every single performance is poor. Gallo and Hannah look disinterested throughout, and Jennifer Tilly is beyond insufferable as she wails and screams during every second onscreen. This is a stupid, incoherent, unprofessional, boring waste of time.

This was pretty entertaining. Tilly did an amazing job as a crazy chick.

Jennifer Tilly?s impressive over the top manic performance makes this one worth watching. The rest of the cast is fine as well. It has it?s flaws but the pacing is great and it always held my interest. It is suspenseful and well edited.

Tilly had moments where she was believable but then over acted on alot of parts. still a decent watch.

Daryl Hannah and Bruce Greenwood are good actors and with them this would have been a pretty good movie but what ruined the movie was Vincent Gallo and Jennifer Tilly. They should have picked two other actors to play the crazy people in this movie. They could have picked any othe... read morer two actors and it would have been a better choice then Gallo and Tilly. Gallo is no great or even good actor and Tilly has got to be one of the worst actors ever! I have never seen a movie Jennifer Tilly was in and thought, "Wow, what a great performance by Tilly!" or "I feel an Oscar coming her way!" No! She has one range of acting. It never differs! How she has received as many jobs as she has is astounding to me. This could have been a good film or at least ok but Gallo and especially Tilly ruined this film. Stay clear of this movie and if you ever see any movie Tilly is in then save your time and skip it.

I just watched this one day and I was expecting something like the new one with De Niro and Fanning, but I watched this and I liked it. It was a good little thriller.

Sounds like nothing especially unusual in straight-to-tape thriller land, but when Jennifer Tilly is cast as the psycho wife, what you get is camp nirvana. Full Review
