Collateral Damage is a decent action film, but is predictable and uses plot elements from other, better films to create this story. I was entertained watching this film, but I felt that the film could have been much better. I felt the film was fairly predictable, and that some of... read more

Guns - Tick. Explotions - Tick. Ridiculous series of events - Tick. A typical post 1990's Schwarzenegger film riding the success of previous years - No Tick.

Okay movie. Nothing more. Not really a cretive plot. We have all seen the "revange the death of your family" thing once too many times. I think that Arnold acted better that usual...but still...
And was it just me or was there a Cape Fear reference in there? -

A lot better tan I ever remember it being, this is a classic Arnold experience. Not only does he take down Colombian terrorism, he does it single-handed without and guns. Gordy Brewer is not the man you want to mess with, killing his family will result in total destruction. This ... read more

He's been almost everywhere, why didn't he do a movie in German? that would've been great tony.

Could of been more enjoyable if it wasent so over the top, the action and suspense work well but the plot is silly an ordinary man wanting revenge against terrorist for the death of his family..oh please.

Powerful first-class suspense-filled thriller of the hero Arnie who comes for his revenge to find the leader terrorist.
Critic Reviews
Ugly, predictable and dumb as dirt.
Schwarzenegger tries hard to act but in the end the foolishness of the thriller formula becomes ridiculous. Full Review
The result is an 'action film' mired in stasis. Full Review
A numbingly routine Arnold Schwarzenegger action movie.
This is the sort of burly action flick where one coincidence pummels another, narrative necessity is a drunken roundhouse, and whatever passes for logic is a factor of the last plot device left standing. Full Review
[A] slick thriller with a couple of neat plot twists and a return to form for the fiftysomething Arnold. Full Review
Compared to Traffic and Spy Games, films that deal with similar themes, this is mediocre movie-making ... The studio should not have released this film.
Just as in real life, you don't see Collateral Damage, you suffer it. Full Review
