This nicely animated adventure about a scientist who's inventing a machine that causes precipitation in form of food may be a thrill ride for kids. As an adult, I have to say, the premise was a tad disgusting. Maybe I was over analyzing but the thought of steaks raining down into... read more

With all of blue sky's animations it is brilliant in terms of animation but I think Cloudy over does the slapstick and doesn't redeem itself. It is instantly forgettable and even for an animated film it is downright stupid.

All animation has the licence to be silly, go crazy and go beyond the realms of reality but not for a long time have I seen an animated film do it so well, nor have I seen animation as good. It is of course very silly but it's very knowingly so. Any cliche that might be present i... read more

A lot of the jokes were pushed too hard and very aggressive to get us to laugh. I didn't find them all that funny, all though this take on a classic story was done beautifully. Very colorful and exciting to watch.

It was clever and funny, but adults will probably not enjoy it. The plot is mainly aimed for kids and nothing else. The voice acting was very good, I enjoyed them all. The animation was interesting, and I hope thats what they were trying to do, ecause if not the animation suck... read more

Zingy and well-flavored, this culinary chaos of a movie is a vibrant sensation that'll satisfy the most picky of palates. Be sure though there's a fridge nearby when you do decide to see it, because if you weren't hungry before, I can promise you will be afterwards. Universally f... read more

An amazing and adorable movie. It's was funny, insightful & had romance as well. Just a great animated film that I love along with the Toy Story, Shrek, Tangled, Megamind & many others. I just love it & you will too :)

it had a few funny moments, but overall it was a really stupid adaption from the classic children's novel

So what could be better than an endless supply of jellybeans and ice cream? Only a multiplex permanently stocked with smart, sweetly silly family films like this one. Full Review
It takes an iron stomach to watch this stuff and not feel nauseated. Full Review
No comedy should come bogged down with so many Important Life Lessons. Full Review
Food has never been funnier than it is in the spirited, animated family film Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. Full Review
But it's fun, it has some good messages and what kid won't enjoy seeing pancakes flatten a roof and an ice-cream blizzard that you can eat while you play in it? Especially when it's presented in color...
This film wasn't made for you, or me. It was made for dangerously easily distracted 9-year-olds. And at least the never-enough aesthetic extends to its sheer, Augustus Gloop volume of sight gags. Full Review
It's not especially filling, but it leaves a pleasant aftertaste. Full Review
It's nice that the film brings some real-world crunch to the story - ethnic characters whose presence make a social point ... and a clear message about the downside of a society where food is overabun... Full Review
... a well-intentioned children's film that has the unfortunate effect of making food, all food, seem utterly revolting. It's the gastronomical version of 'Scared Straight!' 3-D. Full Review
