An absolute classic that's too corny once in a while, but only because it's playing with conventions of the cowboy genre (baked beans, singalongs, cattle drives, Jack Palance, etc.). Billy Crystal is not one of my favourite actors, but we see a real growth in him as he pulls hims... read more

Three friends in a mid-life crisis goes on a Wild West adventure together, to re-ignite their lost passions for life. This isn't really a Western movie in the classic sense though, but more like a fish-out-of-water comedy, with influences from said genre. It does have the same fe... read more

The wittiest of buddy comedies, it features the lovable Billy Crystal trying to find something lost within himself, which is amendable. Can't wait to see the sequel!

Billy Crystal decides to go to a dude ranch while experiencing a mid-life crisis and undergoes the usual lightly comic life lessons. worth seeing for Jack Palance sending himself up as a grizzled old cowpoke.

Lassos midlife-crisis laughs; teens and up. Full Review
A comedy that was and is ambitious and counterintuitive. Full Review
The movie begins as a mildly amusing comedy about spoiled city brats taking a cattle drive before turning into a serio and predictable tale about mid-life crisis and male camaraderie. Full Review
silly entertainment
Somehow it never gets old.
I found almost nothing funny about this film. Palance's performance saved it.
Good fun.
A fun outing, with Jack Palance's Oscar-winning performance the main attraction.
