    Now this is something special. The vaguest way I can describe it is Tscherakassy making a Mekas sort of diary film. Noren toys with light and darkness like its nobody else's business. There is a extremely sensual amorphous quality to the images, like one of those trance films but... read more way more intense. The camera focuses closeups of Noren and his wife's skin, fabric, pages in a book, surface of water, etc and the light and shadows caressing these surfaces give the impression that light itself is the basic material, not flesh, fabric, or paper.
