One of several satirical films in the British "Carry On" series, this is a broad spoof of horror films in general and of Universal monster movies in particular. Goofy fun for those looking for a decidedly British take on Addams Family-style monster antics. ~ Cavett Binion, Rovi

One of the best carry on films, this gave me nightmares as a child!

Probably the best Carry on film along with Carry on Camping.

Harry H. Corbett is a worthy addition to the usual faces in an affectionate spoof of the old Bela Lugosi and Vincent Price horror movies. One of the better Carry On efforts, and who could not be charmed by Fenella Fielding's seductive tones?!

Frying tonight! Another quality Carry on movie if a little gaudy.

A horror-comedy that is a rather direct parody on the popular-at-the-time Hammer horror films. Several motifs are used with Jekyll, a mummy, Frankenstein-like regeneration, etc. This is the first of the Carry On films I had seen, and got pretty much what I expected. The humor is ... read morevery British and probably quite lewd for the time. Fenella Fielding is super-hot as the voluptuous vampire.

Gerald Thomas' direction as usual is assured, though some of the gags and situations would be helped by speeding up via more ruthless trimming. Full Review
