Meh its shock value is zero...And the movie is only 2 hour of kids barfing blood on each other.

This is rubbish! Low budget stuff even compared to the first, just one gross or gore scene after the next with little plot in between. Thankfully it only lasts about 75 mins that says it all really!

    fucking terrible!!

By far, this is the greatest B-Movie sequel to come out in at least the past decade. It is unbelievably bizarre and disgusting, going from blood cum to bloody urine to aborted fetuses and finishes off with puss covered breasts. The violence is so over the top and downright illogi... read morecal, but it all has to do with Ti West and his incredible knowledge and love for the horror genre. Much like House of the Devil, it's shot on 16mm and features a very 70s-80s atmosphere. It has to be one of the funniest movies I've seen in a while, almost every gag out-does the previous for the viewers enjoyment. In its own way it's just as good as the original, but you can't really compare them at all. Ti West is much more of a Nostalgia director, while Eli Roth at least plays at least somewhat with mainstream expectations. I have no doubt that this will go over most people's heads, due to the fact that most people think horror movies have to be scary. This is more for people who enjoy Masterpieces like: Evil Dead II, Pieces, Zombi 2 and The Beyond.

Gross, funny, cheesy, and gory. What more can you ask for in a horror film? Ti West, director of The House of the Devil, is really rocking my world. I'm sensing some potential in him being my new favorite horror director. Cabin Fever 2 kicks major ass! I laughed my head off, then... read more turned away in disgust. Now that's what I'm talking about!

I have to say I was not a fan of the original at all but I was hoping for a little more from a new cast and a different vision from Ti West.
It has a few moments of pure goodness like some blackly funny gory/gross scenes and I loved that they used the disco song from the origina... read morel 'Prom Night' but overall the film has no point or momentum.
I blame Lionsgate moreso than West since he tried to have his name removed and replaced with the unhappy director standard 'Alan Smithee' so that does make me curious to see what his true vision could have possibly brought to improve this dreck.

Nothing to get excited about, apparently this was taken from the director and overhauled by suits. A few fun moments here and there, but otherwise meh.

Enjoyable and bloody gory follow up to 2004 cabin fever. This time the action moves from the woods to the local high school where the virus is inside the local bottle water. There plenty of blood and gore to keep horror fans happy and its more funnier the the first too.Not a waste ... read moreof time that i through.
So anyone who like the first one will be happy.

Although it's not as good as the first, it's still a pretty good sequel.

I knew there was going to be something terribly wrong with "Cabin Fever 2" when the director wanted his name attached to the production no longer. Yes, he directed it; he filmed it. But the studio changed so much of the film that he too began to detest what it had ... read morebecome. However, with that being said, I doubt that "Cabin Fever 2" could have been much better anyways. But it could have at least been decent. The reason for "Cabin Fever 2's" epic suckage is the fact that it keeps repeating, repeating, and repeating; without remorse for the viewer. It's an often sick, and only sometimes funny and entertaining horror film that alas isn't as decent as the original. And I didn't even like the first "Cabin Fever". But this is just going over-the-hill and back. What worked in "Cabin Fever"- some of the jokes and some of the hilarious amounts gore- just doesn't work anymore, at least not here. "Cabin Fever 2" is in fact just plain revolting, sick, and disgusting more than 95% of the time. I can understand why Ti West, the director, wanted his name removed. I mean, this is the guy who directed "The House of the Devil", for crying out loud! That was such a great horror homage. What happened here? According to West, the Studio happened. They controlled a lot of how this film was going to end up. And that's the only reason why West doesn't want to be known as the director of this film. Perhaps his vision was funnier, scarier, and bucket-loads of gory fun. I would think so, knowing how affectionate West is of his favorite genre; the horror film. If he can make a film as amazing as "The House of the Devil", then he can certainly do better than this crap. But as I said, it's not entirely his film. But then again I must consider that "Cabin Fever 2" blows anyways.

So good old Winston has dumped our old pal Paul's bloody, presumably dead corpse into a river. The blood- which is infected- contaminates the water, and that very water is bottled up and shipped out to a local High School. There is a prom in about a day. People also drink plenty of this particular bottled-water. So a lot of the film is spent preparing to go to the prom, while our hero also has a romantic interest in one of his lady friends. Of course, he's somewhat of a loser, and she's already got a generic asshole-boyfriend for him to worry about. So initially, he doesn't want to attend this prom. But alas, he goes anyways; and this is when things go horribly wrong. Since many people drink or come in contact with the water, a lot of people get sickly at the prom. And of course, they die. But not in the ways that the people died in the original "Cabin Fever". At least that movie had more creativity when it came to death scenes than this piece or nigh utter trash. Most of the deaths consist of a simple upchuck-of-the-blood, or someone dying from all the bleeding. A dog ripped a woman apart in the original. That was a decent way to go. Nobody goes out with style in this flick. Everything is just so inconclusive, and the end of the flick pretty much screams: "Cabin Fever 3"! Oh, goody. I can't wait to see where that takes the series. Which should not be a series at all.

It's really hard to like actors, such as the talented ones in this flick, when they are portraying such bland characters. The hero of the story is played by Noah Segan, who has more talent than he cares to display. The same clearly goes for his best buddy Rusty Kelly, who reminds me a bit of Clark Duke. I'm sure you know where I got that comparison from. On the bright side, Giuseppe Andrews is back, and he's a amusing as ever. It's good to see that even crappy anti-direction can't take the wind and spirit out of such a flamboyantly dumb character. But it's too bad that even a performance like Andrews' can't make a sequel, or a franchise, work well on its own. Such a loss.

Perhaps the only reason "Cabin Fever 2" gets any points whatsoever is because in all honesty, it's a well-shot film. In some instances, I just had to admit that. It looked pretty fine. But alas, not great. When so much gruesome gore and blood is being barfed onto a dance-floor, it's almost impossible to see the craft put into the camera-work. It remains consistent throughout, but cinematography can't make a film unless it's unique and beautiful; and here it's just solid, but nothing more. I also like the animated sequences in the beginning and end of the film, preferably the one in the beginning. The first one was pretty funny, I suppose, and actually felt like something Ti West would cook up. But then the film came, and all of Ti West's touch just went out like a burnt light bulb. Did Mr. West really co-write this? I mean, he can't be that poor when it comes to writing characters. I do honestly understand that you can only have so much humanity in a lock-down/fight-for-survival against a flesh-eating virus spread by water, in a school; but come on, this is just sad. "Cabin Fever 2" wants to be funny, which it kind of is, but only sporadically. And it also wants to be sick, which admittedly, it kind of is. The film wants to make you squirm. It wants to disgust the audience. But me admitting that is far, far from true admiration. I do not in fact appreciate, or enjoy this movie. It is poorly made, and Ti West doesn't deserve to be attached to a film which is not his vision. He is a talented, inspired, gifted man; and this is not a good movie. Thus, it isn't his. And if it were, "Cabin Fever 2" wouldn't have been the least bit acceptable.

Aside from looking pretty good, "Cabin Fever 2" is pretty much shit. I just can't get into a movie that borders on the knife-edge between the sick and the funny side of gruesome horror. I've seen gory horror done right, and I've also seen it done funny. This just isn't one of those times. In fact, this is far from one of those times. This is revolting, and nearly insulting to horror movies. While Ti West's "The House of the Devil" honored horror, this film, which he should not be attached to as a director, is a perfect explanation to why people stay away from the genre. It's understandable, given how gruesomely un-fun they can get. This isn't a horrible horror movie, but it's not fun to watch. It is meant to sicken, and horror should have the right to disturb, but it doesn't need to be as unsettlingly gory as this. It takes away from the humor and the fun. Sometimes you can't tell what the hell the filmmakers were aiming for when it comes to a film like this one. On the plus side, the guy in the bunny suit from the first "Cabin Fever" makes a lengthy return, and he is almost unmasked. Perhaps he will be in "Cabin Fever 3". If so, then I will watch that film; because no matter how much it sucks, the unmasking of the bunny is definitely something to look forward to.
