a funny kind of side-story to the Wall-E film

Heaps of funny about a welding robot had known how much trouble he'd be caused by WALL-E's pursuit of EVE, then he'd have taken the day off.
I see frustration, embarrassment and impatience (love the change in the action of handing BURN-E a new light pole) and they all make me rec... read moreognise this character. As I'm drawn to like him, I laugh more when the jokes come because I have been charmed into loving the film. Of course it helps that it is funny and indeed it is very funny right down to the punch line.

The customary short movie on Pixar releases generally picks up a side character from the main movie, WALL-E, and does a new story with them as the focus. In this case that is sort of true because the short actually looks back at the final third of the main movie and... read more essentially retells that but does it quickly and by focusing on a very minor character. This movie tells the background story of Burn-E (Basic Utility Robot Nano-Engineer), a persistent little robot whose job it is to replace light posts on the exterior of BnL's Axiom spacecraft, which houses Earth's people while robots such as WALL-E (Waste Allocation Load Lifter-Earth) clean up the mess they left behind on their planet. It's an amusing story that takes place during the feature movie. A slightly different short from Pixar then, but not a lesser one by any means. It is charmingly delivered with the high standards of the main movie and delivers several good laughs even though it is essentially one joke repeated.

This companion film to Wall-E is wonderful. It is sort of like Jack-Jack Attack in that it takes place during the feature film, but in a different place and from another point of view or angle. This one seems almost like a deleted little subplot to Wall-E turned into its own sh... read moreort. Even if that is the case, it is still worht a look for any Wall-E fan, I know I liked it.
