Bernice Rhodenbarr (Whoopi Goldberg) is a retired cat burglar who works at a bookstore.... read more read more... Bad cop Ray Kirschman (G.W. Bailey) blackmails her, so she agrees to do a job for Dr. Cynthia Sheldrake (Lesley Ann Warren) in order to get the money. While she is doing the robbery, she accidentally stumbles onto the scene of a murder. Since she is the prime suspect, Bernice is forced into many chase scenes as she plays detective to find out who the real murderer is in order to clear her name. She is aided by her only two friends: the hapless dog groomer Carl Hefler (Bob Goldthwait) and the drunken floozy Frankie (Elizabeth Ruscio).     I love Bobcat in this movie, he's funny as usual, but the rest of the cast is just okay. I liked this movie, but it could have been better, it's pretty cheesy at times.

    "burglar" is hilarious movie of that with hilarious starring whoopi goldberg and bob goldthwait(that he acting so funny). best part with goldberg's character bernie steal of police motorcycle and the wild ride chasing by an cop. john goodman also starring who before dan conner in... read more tv show "roseanne".

    Whoopi Goldberg always makes a film more interesting. The material in this movie is below her caliber. The story does wear thin after about 45 minutes, and Bob Goldthwaite is so annoying. There are fun moments along the way though.

    Not too bad of a fllm, Whoopi Goldberg stars as a former burglar who is being blackmailed by a cop to get back into the business and later on stumbles across a murder. A great cast including G.W. Bailey, Bobcat Goldthwait, and Lesley Ann Warren.

    Being a Whoopi Goldberg fan I loved this movie. I've watched this one about a thousand times. I just like the feel and the look about this film. A cool movie to sit down and watch. Quite entertaining!
