An East Los Angeles high school cheer squad captain finds her hopes of winning the upcoming Spirit Championships dashed when her mother remarries and their family relocates to Malibu, where the curren... read more read more...t cheer squad isn't quite up to snuff. With their fiery fusion of Latin and hip-hop moves, Lina Cruz (Christina Milian) and her best friends Gloria (Vanessa Born) and Treyvonetta (Gabrielle Dennis) are about to lead the East L.A. high school cheer squad to victory at one of the most prominent competitions in the nation. But just as the crew is about to take the world by storm, Lina's mother remarries and the family makes the move to Florida. Once there, Lina quickly realizes that the Malibu Vista High Sea Lions aren't anywhere near as talented as her old cheer squad. Now, in order to transform the Sea Lions into a championship team, Lina must teach them the moves needed to knock the award-winning Jaguar cheer squad and their trash-talking captain Avery (Rachele Brooke Smith) out of the top spot. When Lina and Avery's brother Evan (Cody Longo) becomes romantically involved, the competition between the two girls really begins to heat up. With the stakes higher than ever before, Lina hatches a scheme to take her team all the way to the top and prove that they have what it takes to become true champions. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Definitely the weakest of the Bring it on movies (I have seen all except one). It even seemed that the cheerleading was not as good as in the previous ones.
Story is okay, pretty much same as usual, some of the cast better than others too. Not all that convincing. The guys in pa... read morerticular are pretty wooden. I did like the actress who played Skye.

Another in the line of cheerleading movies that I seem to be addicted to. No matter how cliche or predictable the plots are I keep coming back for more.

This movie is okay. The Bring It On franchise needs to get back to what works and that's more cheerleading and less story.

Pretty good Bring it On movie. Actually, this one is my third fave, out of all of them. First is the first one, obviously, second is In It to Win It, third is this, fourth is All or Nothing, and fifth is Bring it on Again. Anyways, Christina Milian/Lina was good, loved Treyvonett... read morea and Gloria. I could honestly kill Avery. God, if I knew someone like that...I don't even want to think about the jail time I'd get. lol Evan was HAWT! Loved him. Love Skyler and Christina and yeah. Good movie. Cool routines. I hope they make another Bring It On movie! :]

"Dear diary," -heavy angry breathing- "I am, like soo totally annoyed! Like, my mom, who was a waitress and not making alot of money, met some totally old guy, and of course by old I mean her age, and she like, was OMG! I love yous and they got married. This man is very sweet to ... read moreme, and loaded up the wazoo with cash, like it's awesome, but I hate, like totally hate him anyways. His daughter, from his first marriage, his wife died, is also very sweet to me, but, like diary, she's not a cheerleader, so like, I totally do not pay her any mind. Oh, OMG, diary, how did I 4get to tell you? We had to move from LA, where we lived in a small apartment to freaking Malibu, god I hate it here diary, into a mansion bigger than in any movie I had seen! But, I still hate this rich guy. I mean DIARY, he made me move to Malibu, like Barbie, ugh! So, I then totally decided to entirely and totally use my mom's new husband's money and fly my friends out here cuz I just couldn't live w/o them. Diary, do you see how self-centered and bitchy I am? Cuz I sure don't!"
So I was pretending to be the main character from this new Bring It On film, and yes, she is impossible to like or root for or enjoy. If I were her mom, one good slap across the face and a grounding for 3 three weeks is what I would have done. But here, we are meant to like and root for that snooty bitch, and it hurts the movie immensely. Not that there was much to salvage had it been otherwise, there was only one moment of smart writing, the rest felt like an adult's idea of high schoolers and cheer leaders, and the cheers weren't that well done.

Cliche ridden, been there, done that, but in a strange way it is entertaining, in a very basic sort of way. The cast is so enthusiastic. Mindless fun.
