Warning spoilers! Second part, she gets her man, ends up in a Thai prison, loses her man, gets him back again. Fave scene - fighting in the fountain. Hilarious! Great cast.

I love Bridget Jones. As good as the first one, I would even say better. An exceptional sequel. Extremely hilarious! She never fails to impress. Renee Zelwegger plays her perfectly. The skiing scene is my favourite. So funny!

Funnily enough, I have marked this up half a star from my original rating. I remembered this as being a lot worse than it actually was. Oh, it had it's moments, alright, don't get me wrong. The skiing trip and the spell in prison come to mind quite quickly, but it had it's funn... read more

I never really believed I would like a chick flick, but it felt like I was jumping into a Marian Keyes or a Madeleine Wickham, and I do love chick lit. Now I just have to read the book.

A decent follow up that blends seamlessly from the first. Much more of the same really, with all the same main characters from the first. It has the same type of humour as the first to, maybe not quite as good as the original but not that far off. If you like the first one give t... read more

I liked the first and was skeptical about the second. Sequels -- you all know how that turns out most of the time. And my fears were realized to some extent. Not as good, but decent enough for a viewing. The original I'd watch again. Not so this one.

This sequel to Bridget Jones's Diary isn't as funny, but Renee Zellwegger is aborable and Colin Firth is a quietly charming love interest. Hugh Grant, at his most interestingly ambiguous, adds unexpected edginess.
Critic Reviews
The humiliation of Bridget Jones is done so many times that it's not funny and it's not clever and it's not interesting. Full Review
The talented cast give the flabby script some much-needed muscle. Full Review
Unfortunately, Zellweger and Firth don't ignite many sparks, and Bridget's neuroses, rather than endearing her to us, can be off-putting.
So clumsy and crass that it makes you doubt the pleasure of the first movie. Full Review
It's a pleasing enough romp, and if you're starved for romantic comedy (where have they all gone?) this will ease your hunger pangs. Full Review
Bridget's is a world of upper middle-class Teflon-coated narcissism, the kind that effectively seals out any concerns other than her own, and those concerns tend to run the gamut from weight to men an... Full Review
It's the sequel to one of the best films of 2001 that quickly reveals itself as one of the big disappointments of 2004. Full Review
The film is a narrative mess, a cut-and-paste job of random ideas and pointless incidents that are barely related to each other, but this messiness is very much in keeping with the scattered personali... Full Review
