Basically a Judd Apatow-like comedy with an all-woman leading cast. Decent amount of laughs but this movie just comes out as average due to really un-even pacing, questionable editing, and a terribly predictable plot. Although Melissa McCarthy's turn as the raunchy but bluntly ... read more

An Apatow gross-out comedy "for women," and a new take on the wedding comedy genre: as opposed to many, in which stupid problems rear their heads, Bridesmaids confronts both female rivalry and the wedding industry head-on. It's long for a comedy, but unlike Wedding Crashers or Fu... read more

April 1, 2012fb729949618I don't have any bad things to say about this film, it's genius on all levels. The characters are all on point, the plot is entertaining, and every aspect ties in perfectly together. An honestly well made film all around, and has now definitely become one of my favorite comedies.

What could easily be dismissed as "Hangover for girls" is actually much more than that. First of all, the movie is a lot sweeter but also deeper than the trailer suggested. It's also refreshing to see that the best laughs didn't get spoiled already. The humor is aiming below the ... read more

So this movie wasn't as awesome as everyone made it out to be. I don't feel like I wasted my life or anything. But I mean it still regressed to gross-out humor like every other big comedy out there. I loved Kristen's flip out at the shower.

This is a great example of just a funny film. There wasn't that much of a plot other then someone gets married and the bridesmaids fight. But there were so many funny part of this film, too many to mention, but one stand out in this film was Melissa McCarthy. Her performance w... read more

This is a solid comedy. Much of the humor revolves around back and forth passive-aggression and random situations that don't develop the story, but it is funny nonetheless. I really thought it would be more about all of the bridesmaids rather than just Wiig's character, but regar... read more

A hilarious comedy with a gross sense of humor that one would naturally expect from an Apatow production. It is really hysterical in the laugh-hard first act, before moving confidently to a more emotional tone, with Kristen Wiig in a very inspired performance. I can only complain... read more

Bridesmaids is a stiletto-sharp, raunchy, no-holds-barred yuk-fest that stands as a worthy female counterpart to the likes of Wedding Crashers and The Hangover. Full Review
Wiig has terrific audience rapport, a prerequisite for comics, and a squiggly way of seeming totally reasonable and altogether daft at the same time. Full Review
The only question is: Will Kristen Wiig ever be this good again? The answer is, let's hope so. Bridesmaids rocks. Hopefully, a movie star is born. Full Review
In the end, Bridesmaids is touching and funny and a tiny bit sickening. Just like a real wedding. Full Review
The warring impulses within Wiig set a wonderfully skittish tone for the painfully hilarious new movie Bridesmaids, a screwy tale of female friendship and wedding planning from hell. Full Review
It's not a movie for people looking for a decorous night at the movies. It is a film, though, for folks eager for some good dirty jokes, some refreshingly real female characters - and, just maybe, a n... Full Review
If this is only a chick flick, then call me a chick. Full Review
It's the smaller, more observant moments in "Bridesmaids" that make it worth savoring. Full Review
By the time two hours had dragged by, I felt a lot like I had sat through a five-hour wedding. Full Review
