The thing that Baron Cohen does better then most comedians is that he doesn't try to be racist for laughs. Its something that naturally comes out of his character. He somehow manages to create a lovable hilarious and honestly believable and truthful character who is pretty much t... read more

Cohen gives a daring and terrific performance in this is hilarious mockumentary that is partly scripted, but mostly unscripted/ridiculous stunts that shock the people they involve. Borat is an edgy film that shows the real America, but in a lough out loud, side splitting manner. ... read more

A brilliant, outrageously funny film, which at points makes it the most successful, most racist yet hilarious documentary of both it's year and of all time.

October 6, 2011fb729949618Hilarious film. It pushes all types of boundaries and holds nothing back. Although it's branded as pure improv, there are moments where the film seems scripted; that's the only problem I have with this movie.

I enjoyed this film somewhat, but I felt that the hype killed it for me, slight. The film is very funny, but with each viewing, the humor actually becomes stale. The jokes got old pretty fast. However, despite this, there are some good comedic moments in this film. This film is a... read more

Borat: I like you, I like sex... is nice.

The theory of comedy here is that you can get away with almost anything if you manage to make your target audience feel superior to the human beings being mocked on the screen. Full Review
I did find this to be one of the more inventive, aggressively offensive and insanely tasteless comedies in many a year. And yeah, that's a thumbs-up. Full Review
Borat is so gut-bustingly funny it should carry a health warning. Full Review
In an era of stale, formulaic comedies, this uproarious and ribald faux documentary is like a hit of pure oxygen. Full Review
Somewhere in standup comedy heaven Andy Kaufman is smiling. Possibly even busting a gut. Full Review
It's so inventive, so rich with comic moments, so outrageous, so shocking and unexpected, and so willing to be offensive that it consistently leaves viewers off balance -- and howling. This is a film ... Full Review
Borat leaves no ethnicity, no religious or social order (well, maybe one or two) unmocked. Both the glorious U.S. and A. and the beautiful Kazakhstan get pilloried by Baron Cohen and his sublimely sil...
Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan is as fearless as mockumentaries get. Full Review
Crude, confrontational and stunningly sick, it's a movie made in the fringe tradition of Pink Flamingos, featuring a performer who seems to be willing to do anything for the camera. Full Review
