Illegal stock trading, Gekko style, reheated with a young cast. Noteworthy performances by Ribisi, Long, Affleck and Rifkin carry a rough script and direction that favors lots of jump cuts.

"There is no question whether or not you'll become a millionaire here. The only question is how many times over."
Quite frankly, I expected this to be absolute crap. I'm not much of a fan any of the cast, I'm not familiar with the director, and the premise sounded like a bad te... read more -

An interesting drama about illicit stock trading in which Giovanni Ribisi's life spirals out of control when greed and pressure from his peers takes hold in a kind of contemporary Wall Street. Vin Diesel takes time out from his action man roles, and is actually pretty damn good.

Although the plotting gets a bit predictable toward the end, the script is intelligent and boldly written throughout. Full Review
It's the first film of the year capable of keeping a grown-up awake.
Younger draws a lot from David Mamet in his depictions of this seller's hothouse, but he does it with a twist: The salesmen here are fully conscious of being Mamet-y; their bible is Alec Baldwin's big... Full Review
