With no other choice, he accepted his crooked landlord's bid to participate in a series of crazy heists. They paired up with another shady character, Octopus (Louis Koo), and successfully kidnapped BB, a tycoon's grandson, but unforeseen complications led the trio to keep the baby longer than they had originally intended. Now, when the men learn that a triad intends to collect on some unpaid ransom and kill the child in the process, they decide to keep the baby indefinitely, as an unofficial "adopted son," and train him in the ways of burglary. They receive assistance, in this endeavor, from a teenage hanger-on, Pak Yin (Charlene Choi); a nurse named Melody (Gao Yuanyuan); and the landlord's missus, (Teresa Carpio). Suddenly, however, the rollers and the triads begin to close in, and the men must figure out a way to return the baby to his folks. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi

A exciting and entertaining film, Rob-B-Hood is a enjoyable action/comedy movie, that presents a interesting rare role of Jackie Chan as a anti-hero. An good film to fans of Chan and martial arts comedy pictures'. Fresh.

Star-studded enjoyable Jackie Chan movie with an excellent combination of action and comedy, and adorable baby! This have been touched upon in movies like Three Men and a Baby, or even Raising Arizona. TWO THUMBS UP!

The comedy is also very well done and there are many endearing scenes with the real star of the show, baby Matthew Medvedev, who will melt any viewer's heart. Jackie and his co-stars' characters are very sympathetic and the acting for the most part is spot on. Benny Chan does an excellent job directing his stars and shows that he is not only able to direct a serious action crime drama like Chan's previous New Police Story but is also adept at the family action comedy as well. There are many cameos from well known HK stars, so be sure to watch out for them.

A return to comic form with Jackie, as he and his three partners, played by veteran Michael Hui and the young and charismatic Louis Koo take on the biggest challenge in their criminal career... babysitting.

Some good action scenes, especially involving the baby... its good to see Jackie hasn't slowed down that much with age!! The comedy is a cross slap stick and stand up between the cast and they pull it off so well.

An interesting turn for Jackie... especially since his last movie before this was New Police Story... watch it for the cutey baby which steals the show and everyone's hearts.

A return to form for Jackie, more in the spirit of some of his 80s HK stuff. The film is thankfully not as corny or cheesy with the whole baby thing. Some very good action sequences also. So, don't expect Jackie to make another Drunken Master 2, or another Police Story, but this ... read moreis way better than most of the junk he has made recently, both in HK and america.

    "This September! Crawl Baby crawl!"

For ne'er-do-well compulsive gambler Slipper (Jackie Chan), there's only one thing more fearsome than debtors at his doorstep - having to coax a crying baby. But what if the baby becomes his golden goose to fend off his debtors? Can he ... read moreovercome his phobia of diapers, milk bottles, and cloying lullabies?
Brought up in an impoverished family and kicked out of school in his teens, Slipper found himself on the wrong side of the tracks despite being nimble-footed and neat-fingered. Together with the agile and opportunistic Octopus (Louis Koo), the trio kidnaps BB, the grandson of a tycoon. However, due to some unexpected glitches, they fail to hand him over to the triad as planned.
With the assistance of an angelic nurse Melody (Gao Yuanyuan), the landlord's baby-crazy wife (Teresa Carpio) and Octopus' teenage fan Pak Yin (Charlene Choi), the macho men discover the joys of Rob-B-Hood. Cornered by cops and threatened by ferocious gangsters, this trio of incorrigible merry men embarks on a hair-raisingly dangerous and deliriously funny escapade to put BB safely back in his cradle.

All I can say is, this is definitely a Jackie Chan movie and fans will definitely not be disappointed at all. Even with his advancing age and toning down of action scenes, Jackie still has it in him and never fails to entertain. For those fans wondering about action scenes, sure Jackie isn't what he used to be back in the heyday of 80's Hong Kong cinema, but his top notch action choreography is still inventive and fun to watch, and there are many fun set pieces. Chan fans will appreciate a special extended cameo. Overall an enjoyable quality Chan family movie.

A Excellent Jackie Chan Movie, I rented it from Blockbuster under the name of Robin B Hood. Copy I had had english audio, but like other films from Japan, Korea, China, the English Dubbed in voices are stupid and don't even match subtitles, So it was better for me to listen to it... read more in Native Language and read subtitles, been doing that for years in Greece. The action is great as always jackie is the best out there for stunts. If you like babies then this little guy here steals the camera. Its enjoyable.

This was supposed to be Jackie Chan's return to his classic ways. After watching this I can say that it is true. It's really been a while since I've seen a Jackie Chan movie like the ones we've come to love from the 80's and 90's. The past few years we've been stuck with the <... read morei>Rush Hour and Shanghai Noon series, as well as The Myth and New Police Story. Not to mention the few other American movies he has done. Don't get me wrong, most of the above movies are good, but it really was time for him to make another one of his action/adventure movies.

First off this movie is not your typical Rumble in the Bronx or your First Strike. It focuses less on the action and more on the story. It was also nice to see Jackie play a thief instead of a cop like he usually does. You heard me right, he plays a THIEF.

Like I mentioned earlier this movie is story driven. Don't let that chase away you action fanatics though. There are pretty good stunts performed in this movie with a few fight scenes thrown in. In fact, quite a few of the stunts will shock you and make you wonder how Jackie can pull them off at his age. Like many other movies most of the action comes in the beginning and the end. But what the middle lacks in action it makes up for in comedy. This movie had me laughing out loud since it was so funny. How can you not laugh when Jackie gets a diaper of crap thrown at his face? This is hands down one of Jackie Chan's funniest movies. Even with all the comedy in the middle they even had the time to thrown in a decent car chase which ended up in a Jackie Chan stunt fest, which I must say was pretty damn amazing. The ever so popular Daniel Wu even makes a cameo in this chase and provides a hilarious Brokeback Mountain joke.

When all is said and done this is a film with a highly entertaining story with some nice stunts, good acting, tons of laughs, and an emotional ending. A must see for Jackie fans. And yes, there are outtakes when the credits are rolling.

Jackie Chan is undoubtedly one of the few Asian stars whose name alone can open a movie, probably worldwide now. With his latest offering for the Chinese National Day holiday in Rob- B-Hood, he has again done back to basics, together with one of his collaborators of... read more late Benny Chan, with his mantra of "no sex no violence", but just pure action. Jackie Chan screen time is almost equally shared with co-lead Louis Koo, with the both of them playing unsavoury characters. The action scenes were few and far between, though each scene is still carefully choreographed and felt that it lasted longer than the usual. The comedic element came in full swing with the introduction of the baby, which probably is the movie's trump card in luring the crowds. It's nothing new as the antics of soiled diapers, refusal to stop crying, and various moments of what baby would do, have already been touched upon in movies like Three Men and a Baby, or even Raising Arizona. The supporting casts consists of actors past and present in roles that either brought back some good memories, or are milked just for laughs. Yuen Biao was the other supporting role that compelled me to watch this movie, as he seemed to have faded from starring in movies for some time now. He doesn't have much to do here, save for some limited screen action. Actresses like Charlene Choi, Teresa Carpio and Yuanyuan Gao add balance to the testosterone on screen, but probably the best cameo appearance belongs to the duo of Nicholas Tse and Daniel Wu. As always, stay at your seats while the end credits roll, for the usual out-takes included. My only gripe would still be to have this shown in Cantonese, somehow the dubbing of the out- takes sounded really too artificial.
