A fearless warrior immune to vampires, Blade (Snipes) has become a hate... read more read more...d enemy of the bloodsucking community, and as they gather in their desert compound, a group of vampires is plotting to eliminate Blade once and for all by turning the mortal community against him. The vampires have concocted a misinformation campaign that paints a picture of Blade as a ruthless murderer and has sent the FBI on the vampire hunter's trail, led by the relentless agent Cumberland (James Remar). At the same time, the vampires have brought their founding father, Dracula, back to his undead state, renaming him Drake (Dominic Purcell) and investing him with special powers that allow him to walk unharmed in daylight. After a dangerous encounter with Cumberland, Blade and his ally, Whistler (Kris Kristofferson), form an uneasy alliance with a scruffy team of human vampire slayers, the Nighstalkers, led by Hannibal King (Ryan Reynolds), and Whistler's daughter, Abigail (Jessica Biel. While Sommerfield (Natasha Lyonne), a biologist working with the Nightstalkers, researches a scientific answer to the vampire problem, Blade and his comrades take a more hands-on approach against Drake and his minions, including Danica Talos (Parker Posey), Asher (Callum Keith Rennie), and Grimwood (Triple H). Blade: Trinity was directed by David Goyer, who also wrote the screenplay for this film, as well as the first two movies in the series. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

Clearly not as good as the first two, but still entertaining. Just like most third movies in a franchise, this movie should probably just have been left as a thought and never put onto film.

A rip-roaring, wickedly funny and spectacularly action-packed thrill-machine. A terrifically enjoyable movie. It's a total non-stop fun ride. It is hard to resist. An explosive, pulse-pounding, adrenaline-pumping and heart pounding movie ride. A roller-coaster of thrills and chil... read morels that just keeps going all the way to the explosive end. The action is the best yet with great gun-battles, chases and fight scenes with lots of energy. Wesley Snipes still packs the goods delivering exactly what we want. Dominic Purcell is excellent. Jessica Biel is terrific. Ryan Reynolds is excellent, delivering lots of humor and a new tough presence.

Without having seen the first two films sadly, I have to take a stab at a review here. I did not hate this film, but it definitely was far too much over-the-top nonsense that did not need to be happening. A complete train wreck, but it's almost so bad that it's good. I love Dracula's nick name of "Drake", that never gets old. While it has some laughable performances from Dominic Purcell and Ryan Reynolds, Jessica Biel and Parker Posey were actually very good. Enough already! The first film was ok, the second film was really good but this one just doesn't improve on the franchise. Dracula? You having a laugh! completists only!
  • June 3, 2009
yea so this movie sux ass but the t.v. series still makes this look like Blade 1
  • May 20, 2009
Nice to have a trilogy but this is one too many, its gone the mass audience route and lost its violent adult theme. The story is stretched and the characters aren't too cool, Ryan Reynolds?? please, Dracula?? errr silly. The look is still slick but thats it. Tame.

The only one who seems to be having much fun, though, is Parker Posey, camping it up as one of the vampires. Full Review

Diverting but dumb and more goth than gothic, Blade: Trinity builds up to a less-than-epochal smackdown.
