This movie really falls into a category that it might not have had to be in, but I really didn't see how it could have gotten out of it. This is a comedy that is largely not funny. And sort of not exciting either until the tournament kicks in, and then it moves almost entirely aw... read more

I didn't actually finish this movie, but that doesn't speak at all to the quality. It's in fact a really hilarious entry into the Will Ferrell-plays-an-over-the-top-character-that-should've-been-an-SNL sketch-but-is-instead-an-awful-90-minute-movie genre, but without Will Ferrell... read more

Great performances. The Robs are unstoppable (Corddry, Riggle, Huebel). Paul Scheer/Lenny was so sweet and pathetic. Riggle really scared me because he was really a Marine.

This was kinda good, wasn't that funny though, more amusing. Still a solid effort from Corddry. Riggle was actually good in this, perhaps he wasn't acting. I was hoping for more of a dodgeball feel to it, but it did stay close to the "mockumentry" format.
Critic Reviews
It's a mildly amusing feature that takes a few too many potshots at some very broad targets. Full Review
Corddry leads a game cast, but the film is rough around the edges and lacks the sophistication of, say, Christopher Guest's Best in Show and Waiting for Guffman.
This spoof of sports biopics is essentially an extended improvisational skit, with a troupe of comics riffing on a central joke (the elevation of paintball to a noble calling).
A mildly amusing mockumentary about a disgraced paintball champ who wants one more shot. Full Review
Blurbsters on Rotten Tomatoes will say it's hit-and-miss -- and they'll be right. Full Review
There isn't the same labored yet quotable wit ... that you'll find in some of the scripted satires, but part of the fun of improvisation is its spontaneous lack of polish. Full Review
not enough to make Blackballed worth watching for more than a couple of giggles. Full Review
With so much comic talent all in one place, Blackballed becomes a dopey but lovable gigglefest. Full Review
