Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey find the two obtuse pals battling The Grim Reaper, God, robots, great philosophical questions, and girls -- although not necessarily in that order. In this loose parody of... read more read more... the Terminator movies, directed by Peter Hewitt, the ultimate has happened -- at Bill and Ted University of the future, for many years now the people of the world have been "excellent to each other." But fed-up with Bill and Ted's peaceful world and even more fed up with heavy metal, the evil De Nomolos (Joss Ackland) decides to do something about it. De Nomolos creates a cyborg Bill and Ted, who travel back in time to kill the original Bill and Ted, win the Battle of the Bands and pave the way for the hellish reign of De Nomolos. In the past of 1990, Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reeves) are immediately dispatched by the time-traveling cyborgs. And while the cyborgs Bill and Ted make time with the real Bill and Ted's girls (Sarah Trigger and Annette Azcuy) and prepare to take the real Bill and Ted's place in the Battle of the Bands, Bill and Ted are forced to deal with Hell ("Just like an Iron Maiden album cover"), the Grim Reaper (William Sadler), and God himself. When Bill and Ted are asked the secret of the universe, they get it right and as a reward a pair of Martians construct a set of "good" Bill and Ted robots to go head-to-head with the "bad" Bill and Ted robots at the Battle of the Bands. ~ Paul Brenner, Rovi

The Bill and Ted we know came to an end as soon as this film started. The time travel was pretty much forgotten for most of the movie, the humour is told mostly through robots who don't even seem like robots, and the plot of having them die, journey through the afterlife, and ret... read moreurn to kill their robot selves is a very pointless premise that did not make me laugh much. The first film felt very original while watching it, but this film is not even a rehash, it is an attempt at a rehash that fell flat. Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter may have the same loveable chemistry that they had during the first, but by the end of the film, that is really the only thing memorable. The only scene I enjoyed was the end which finally made good use of time travel and had some funny jokes. "Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey" is a serious downgrade in comedy. This film is most unfunny!

After the terrific Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, we have this sequel that is just as good as the original. Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter reprise their roles as Bill & Ted. This sequel has a good story; some laugh out loud moments and is very entertaining. This is a well made c... read moreomedy that is very good. Considering that usually sequels to comedy films are fairly mediocre, this one is good. The cast here are great and Bill & Ted are just as funny as usual. For a sequel, this is a very good attempt at delivering a laugh out loud comedy. Yes, there are things that could've been done better, but for what it is; Bill & Ted's Bogus Adventure is terrific comedy that will appeal to fans of the first. This is a fun sequel and is one of the better comedic sequels to in the genre. Usually sequels fails to capture what was special about the first, but Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey knows how to deliver something refreshing while keeping the core of what made the first film so good. Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey is an entertaining film that provides all the usual antics from the duo. This is an entertaining sequel and is a lot of fun. The film is much better than most comedic sequels. The film may be imperfect, but it has enough good elements going for it to make it a good sequel, better than most.

Not as good as the first movie, but it is somewhat interesting and entertaining.

Bill & Ted are killed by their robot duplicates sent by an evil mastermind in the future but enlist the aid of Death and alien scientists to return from the grave save the babes. I loved Bill & Ted back in the day and this deliberately ridiculous sequel is full of the same mix of... read more bonehead humour and knowing parody of popular culture. Reeves and Winter are as likeable as ever as the heroic dimwits, but this film belongs to William Sadler's Seventh Seal style grim reaper and every moment he's on the screen is comedy gold. It's pretty much the usual teen humour you'd expect but the time travel spin and escapades in Heaven and Hell give plenty of room for a slew of funny gags and the whole thing is still a lot of fun. If you were never into metal as a teen it may go over (or probably more accurately, under) your head, but it's one of the few examples of comedy that's very much of its time that has also stood the test of it. Station!

It's been a while since I saw this, but I remember liking it. I didn't think it was quite as good as the first, but it did have me laughing and entertained, so that counts for something. Plus, I mean, George Carlin returns, and he just rules. I didn't realize until the other day ... read morethat my new love Pam Grier was in this ( first saw this before I knew anything about movies), so I probably should rewatch this.

An excellent sequel that?s a bit better than the first film. Stupid events lead to stupid conclusions due to stupid reasoning but this film is far from stupid, it quite intelligent really, in a stupid way!

This is a fun movie, very original and the effects are cool too. It doesn't take itself seriously and is pretty funny in places. The cast work well, especially Sadler as Death who steals the show. A total blast, should of made a third.

    Ted: Dude!
    Bill: What?
    Ted: Hell sucks!
    Bill: Definitely!

The ridiculous, but likable first feature involving our time traveling slackers was popular enough to get a sequel. Once again, the movie is ridiculous, but may have more knowledge underneath the surface than meets the e... read moreye. It is also, in my opinion, more imaginative and somewhat better than its predecessor.

Bill and Ted are still working on getting their band to be amazing, but trouble ensues when a couple of evil robot clones are sent from the future to kill them (I hate when that happens). This leads to the robots actually killing our heroes, sending them to the afterlife, where they encounter Death, played by William Sadler. Now, Bill and Ted have to somehow get back their lives so they can stop the evil robot versions of themselves from ruining everything.

    Dead Bill: Ted?
    Dead Ted: What?
Dead Bill: Don't "Fear the Reaper"!
[both of them do an air guitar]
    Grim Reaper: I heard that.

I really enjoy this movie. It has so much imagination going into its ideas. Hell is particularly creative, with the presentation of personal attacks against you, let alone the overall tone the film suddenly mixes into its fun nature. I am also pretty sure that Death is my favorite character out of the Bill and Ted universe.

George Carlin still manages to make an appearance, as well as some of the goofy time travel logic (which I still find to be clever).

A fun flick that was made for just that purpose.

Ted: You are a most excellent scientist, Station.
Bill: Yeah! Plus, you got an excellently huge Martian butt!
    Big Station: Station!

It has been too long since I saw this sequel. A good followup to the first one.
