Great passage of time movie covering the lives of three surfing buddies. Superb surfing scenes highlighted by an equally superb soundtrack. Theepitome of surfing movies.

The most overlooked film of the 70's. The greatest surfing film ever made, but also one of the best movies about friendship.

Great movie and good characters make this a favorite of mine. This is probably the granddaddy of fictionalized surf films and paved the way for later films. Life imitates art because in a few years Laird Hamilton would become the legend that Jan Michael's character strives for.
