Columbia is in chaos, and as a brigade of US Navy SEALS embark on a secret mission to ensure that peace talks between the country's government and insurgent guerillas don't erupt into violence, an unf... read more read more...oreseen complication threatens all out war. Out of nowhere, the meeting falls under attack and the leaders from both sides are killed. The SEALS have been framed for the crime, leaving them to fight for their lives from behind enemy lines. Abandoned by their government and left for dead, the weary soldiers race to uncover the evidence that will prove their innocence while ensuring that the violence is contained. Should the fighting spill over the border, the entire region could be plunged into a nightmarish inferno of war and death. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Going into this film as a WWE Production I had little faith in it being good. Being a WWE fan, I wanted to watch it anyhow, and see if they've stepped up since what I seen as fails with projects like "The Marine" with John Cena.

I can happily say, they've finally did a movie,... read more that to me felt like a legit movie. Mr Kennedy only plays a secondary role, and he is not super-hero status, like most WWE Superstars are in the movies they play in. Kennedy actually has a very down to earth role with the rest of his Navy Seals Sqaud of 5. Throw in some gore, some great gun fight scenes, a pretty neat little twist, and some decent acting and you got a fair movie.

For me, it was one of the best WWE Production films to come out yet, and I give it props for that. I liked it and would recommend it to anyone who is into high time action, military, flicks.

"In the Colombian jungle there is no place to hide"

Navy SEALS mount an attack on Colombian special forces to clear their names and rescue a hostage.

    REVIEW

Direct to DVD sequel to a sequel (ho... read morew many behind Enemy Lines are there anyway?) about navy seals trapped between factions in Columbia when a surveillance mission goes wrong and the two sides they were watching are blown up. Hunted by everyone it soon transpires that larger forces are at work and that they may not even be able to trust each other. WWE movie directed by Tim Matheson is a serviceable and watchable film but is also the sort of thing that is doomed to spend its life either forgotten on the video store rental shelves or perhaps popping up occasionally to fill a hole in one of the second or third tier cable network schedule. Its not a bad film, but it's the sort of thing your only going to turn to when every other movie station has nothing on or the sports channels are just showing reruns of the world series of poker. Approach accordingly.

Behind Enemy Lines: Colombia is an enjoyable straight to DVD action flick from WWE. I wasn't expecting much because I tend to hate WWE films, but this one was rather impressive.

The plot was nothing special, it centers around a Navy SEALS team that is stuck in Colombia... read more with scores of bad guys chasing them down. We've seen it all before, but the action was fast-paced and intense. The fights, both hand-to-hand and guns, were very well choreographed. The score was fitting and solid, and the cinematography was nice.

I was also really glad that they didn't make Ken Anderson (aka WWE Wrestler Mr. Kennedy) the main star, even though that's how this film was marketetd. He hardly even has a supporting role in this thank god... because when he was given dialog, he delivered it horribly.

If you're in the mood for a popcorn military-style action flick, don't be afraid to check this one out. It doesn't disappoint in that sense.

Another straight to DVD movie. Another WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) film. Does it suck? Not necessarily. Is it worth the watch? Let's just say that not watching this film is acceptable.

This is the 3rd Behind the Enemy Lines movie, with the Owen Wilson film b

... read moreeing the first. They are all separate from each other, which makes this one watchable without seeing or even knowing about the previous 2.

There isn't much to the story and the plot isn't all that great. It is just enough to warrant this seemingly low budget action extravaganza. The pacing is pretty quick, as the beginning provides some useless character introductions with the freeze frames and names showing up on the screen. The problem is that most of these supporting characters are forgettable.

The action is a plenty and there are a bunch of shootings and explosions. There is a fair amount of blood, but it isn't extreme. The camerawork during these scenes are a little bit of a letdown and it isn't just the angles and movements. There are a few spots where shots are grainy and less sharp than others.

The WWE wrestler to appear in this movie is Mr. Kennedy. The interesting thing is that he isn't the lead character, although he does get a ton of airtime. He is a pretty good entertainer in the wrestling world, but he isn't anything special here.

This isn't a movie to go out and search for, but if action is on the menu, then Behind Enemy Lines: Colombia is a movie to consider. Not highly consider. Just consider.

I found this movie to be decent for a made for dvd movie. I mean I have seen much worse, like Joy Ride 2 and Lost Boys 2. While the WWE's former star Mr. Kennedy is less stiff on screen than the over-rated WWE star John Cena. I think he was better here than Cena was in both of hi... read mores movies despite not being the main star. Director Tim Matheson (Animal House, Fletch) handles the action fine as well. But other than that this movie isn't that different than the previous BEL films. But I was more into it than I expected to be anyway.

i found this to be at times watchable, and the action wasn't too bad, but there wasn't as much as I thought there would be. There is quite a drop off with talent from the first(haven't seen the second one yet). But when you go from Owen Wilson and Gene Hackman to Ken Anderson(I a... read morectually like Anderson), there is a bit of a drop off. The dialogue was pretty bad for the most part. It seemed as if the characters were either going for one liners(and failed) or bad dialogue was executed.

5 minutes in I new I made a bad decision. 20 minutes in I wanted to turn it off. 40 minutes I left the room. If I was the only one watching it I would of turned it off.

This one was pretty good deffinetly better than the 2nd one, and Mr. Kennedy did a job well done in his first movie.

I think they chose the actors in this movie only for their appearance/build, because they certainly couldn't act. The story was shallow and boring. This movie sucks.
  • April 3, 2009
Kinda boring. Stuff blows up from time to time and there's a knife fight in there, but even those action sequences weren't all that exciting. Mr. Kennedy from WWE did a good job, so if he keeps getting injured and needs to retire from wrestling, at least he could be an actor.

If this film had been released in theaters, it would have been a bit of a bummer, but on DVD for some guilty pleasure, it's pretty decent. Full Review
