West and Ward set out to capture the ne'er-do-wells before the crime can occur, and as they investigate likely suspects, they recall the heyday of the Batman series and the massive impact it had on their lives. While Adam West and Burt Ward play themselves in the present-day sequences of Return to the Bat Cave, they're respectively played by Jack Brewer and Jason Marsden in the 1960s flashbacks. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

Absolutely wonderful. Return to the Batcave brings West and Ward together again. Luckily, this is far from some egotistical, reliving the glory days trip. It's a heartfelt reconstruction of the making of the show, and a comedy caper about a stolen bat-mobile that perfectly captur... read morees the spirit of the original. West and Ward also don't pull any punches, allowing themselves to be shown in, often, less than glamorous lights. It's great to see some of these strange but true moments come to life, and how this show changed the lives of two relative unknowns. It is carried by it's charm, honesty, and refusal to conform to modern day biopics/docu-dramas.

Absolute brilliance and the epitome of how a Television movie of this type should be constructed. Return to the Batcave, essentially, is a film that is difficult to fault as the film rolls with constant laughs, a natural progression, and likability that will put smiles on all fac... read morees. But where Return to the Batcave truly makes it's mark is through the fact that while the film has charm - it also back itself up with nicely implemented film elements. We are given a script that alludes to giving insight into the history of this often humoured show, while also giving plenty of due time for our two current heroes. Watching Adam West play Adam West is one of the most enjoyable viewing experiences that a television movie has to offer.

This goofy semi-biography about the making of the Batman TV show from the 1960s. It has Burt Ward and Adam West return to play themselves "remembering" their time on the show as they try to uncover who stole the Batmobile from some charity event. It is really damn goofy, and y... read moreou can tell it's truth level on how the show came to be and how it all worked was tainted by the involvement of the two original stars...they come off really well in the dramatized parts. The soundtrack is awful. If you liked the TV show, you will probably like this nonsense, but it is nonsense.

How did Adam West and Burt Ward become TV's Dynamic Duo?
Return with the original stars as they search for clues to Who stole the Batmobile.
To find the Vile Villain they must relive their past.

Goofy, campy, and lots of fun! Great nuggets from the original series mixed in with great cameos. Check it out!

an halariously original take on the typical "true life behind the scenes movie of the week" genre, with great performances in the flashbacks, as well as laugh-out-lound deadpan performances from Burt, Adam, AND Frank

funny adaptation of Adam West's book, "Back to the Batcave". I'm not sure if part of the script is based on Burt Ward's semi contradictory bio, "My life in tights"....but like I said, funny!
