An amazing start to a new story in the Batman Animated universe. The futuristic landscape and bizarre characters blend well with the style of Batman. Terry McGinnis is a great character and certainly worthy to be called Batman.

Very not bad. I liked it a lot.

I like the idea of the passing of the torch and they made an interesting show out of it as well. The character of Terry became it's own after a while and that shows that it was well written if people were willing to let this new guy replace the Batman they had all grown up with.... read more
Having Bruce Wayne stick around as the guy who guides the new Batman was a good idea. Even though he was old and couldn't get out on the streets anymore doesn't mean he wouldn't find another way to fight crime in his city.

Not as good as its originating series Batman:TAS but still decent.

First 6 episodes of the series - pretty nice intro to a new future of mythos. I was put off on it in the late 90's but learned to really like it recently. The music, though different, really grows on you and helps set he mood.

The new revised Batman 2099 comics inspired this flick, set in a future where Batman is old and has to get a new guy to fill in for him. Not as cool or slick as the Animated Series that proceeded it. Worth a rental.

It's the Future and Bruce Wayne is too old to fight crime so he needs a young fresh Batman.
Terry McGinnes needs help after discovering his Father was Murdered and the only man that can help is Bruce Wayne.

A pretty decent start for a next-generation, after-school-special Batman series. The one thing that makes this series tolerable is watching Bruce "I'm too old to be Batman" Wayne mentor this reckless and dangerous youth. The concept and the overall plot (in regards to the series)... read more is actually not that bad, but the fact that it is pretty much geared towards Jr. High and High School kids is kind of annoying (e.g., steroids in sports, bullies picking on losers, etc.).

This is the pilot to the series Batman Beyond. It's Gotham City forty years later and Bruce Wayne is too old to continue as Batman so enter Terry McGuiness. I loved this show. It should have NEVER been cancelled!!!

Very good film, though I liked "Return of the Joker" better. Bruce picked a fairly good kid to take over the mask.

Rob Vaux, Flipside Movie Emporium

It takes the Batman mythos in an original new direction, while still remaining true to the comics.

Ryan Cracknell, Apollo Guide

Goes beyond the typical slapstick of Saturday morning cartoons and deals with real issues of high school students. Full Review
