A hitman doing one last job in Bangkok takes on a student in the form of a local small time criminal and tries to escape his violent lifestyle through a relationship with a deaf-mute shop girl. The Pang brothers lobotomise their own well-received Thai action movie and create such... read more

Very average film which has had a terrible casting mistake in Cage. He just doesnt fit the part in this story, his hair is getting stranger every film he does and the stunts are obviously not him. The film does look good based in Bangkok with its neon skyline and old city areas, ... read more

Oh my, and to think that after I saw Lord of War, I promised myself I would never waste another minute watching Cage movies. I guess I must have some kind of deep-seated fascination with him -- perhaps I'm unwilling to believe he's lost the great potential he once exhibit... read more

I knew exactly the kind of movie it was going to be before I watched it, nothing special but not bad. Nicolas Cage kills some people in Bangkok and then turns on his employer. For what it is it's very decent, but not anything particularly new. It's got a lot of odd moments and co... read more

I'm feeling sorry for Nicolas Cage in this remake of 1999 Thailand action film with same two Chinese directors. Cage is distinctly average in this and the performances of the supporting cast aren't much better with the notable exception of Charlie Yeung, who delivers a fine perfo... read more

Oscar winner Nicholas Cage in a garbage action film that's as cliched as they come. Joe (Cage) is an assassin. He has his own code and rules that he never breaks. His last mission takes him to Thailand where he proceeds to break all of his rules because that's what assassins do w... read more

An ok action film with a decent enough production. Some odd storylines, plot developments but the action more than makes up for it. However you might like something along the lines of Vantage Point better, similar in some respects.

A slow, fairly amusing dramatic thriller.I wanna like Nick Cage but dammit he has the worst taste in chosing his films.

This is as stale as Tuesday's Phad Thai, from its exhausted mythos of the surgically efficient, omnipotent hit man to the training scenes in which Joe explains the trade to the new guy, to the inevita... Full Review
Awatchable, but dull action flick with not enough body count to satisfy the average mixed martial arts fanboy. Full Review
There's a charming restaurant scene, some nifty hand-to-hand combat and the cast is great looking. But pretty much all the things that made the original so original are filtered out of this un-original. Full Review
Bankgok Ridiculous is more like it. Full Review
[Bangkok Dangerous] adds to the sad realization that this once-vibrant and witty actor is completely controlled now by his inner teenager. Full Review
Bangkok Dangerous is bad without lifting a finger toward interesting. Full Review
[Cage takes] the big bucks to star in slovenly, inert pulp of the sort no actor of his magnitude should be stooping to. Full Review
Directed by the Pang brothers (Danny and Oxide), Bangkok Dangerous is a halfhearted remake of their 1999 picture of the same name.
