I own nearly all the old Disney animated classic movies on VHS and have been watching them all my life. I don't know why, but the original Bambi was never one of my favorites of them, but rather one of my lesser favorites. I much prefer this sequel. Purists may scoff that Bambi i... read more

It was a great Disney sequel. It had great animation, music, characters, backgrounds, voice cast, adventure and a great storyline. It is the best Disney sequel I've ever seen. It should be enjoy by kids and adults alike.

...Bambi II never quite comes off as anything more than a needless sequel. Full Review
Playing it safe renders it mediocre, unaligned with its predecessor in spirit, though its thoughtful efforts in visual and musical homage shouldn't go unnoticed. Full Review
This is solid proof that in times of such dire straits, like the direct to video Disney sequels, hope still exists. The endless patience has been worth it. Full Review
Bambi II doesn't entirely live up to the original, but how could it? Full Review
While it might have been interesting to see Bambi truly updated for the 21st century with up-to-date computer animation techniques, I rather liked the route they took. Full Review
I can't deny the movie is a delight to the eye and may be playful enough to entertain young children. For me, however, the original is enough. Full Review
