I liked this movie alot. Stallone was great in this as was Madeline Stowe. :) Just a great movie!

This was Anthony Quinn's final film and he plays an aging Mafia Godfather (Angelo) trying to make amends with the daughter (Madeleine Stowe) that never knew him. Sly plays Frankie, loyal bodyguard to Angelo who has been watching and keeping her safe throughout her life. When Ange... read morelo is murdered, Frankie seeks out the daughter to deliver a tape but when she finds out about her real family ties, she wants to avenge Angelo's death, hence the film's title. The plot is fairly predictable but Stallone and Stowe make it watchable.

I think this was a good movie and one that I had surely not seen before. The story line was great and I could not wait to see it happen to a nicer person, ya know guy gets girl sort of thing.

I like this movie lots. The cover is deceiving, I thought it was a serious movie, but it turned out to be a romantic comedy. Highly recommended.

Stallone's worst film. This comedy/crime movie is almost as embarassing to watch. Makes Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot look like Rocky. Although it does have Stallone punching the butt of a farting corpse.

Nothing worthy of awards but a nice diversion. Predictable. The most annoying role I think I have ever seen Madelaine Stowe play. Also, they went to some lengths to make her look ghoulish in their attmepts to make her look... Italian? It was NOT a good look! She is much pret... read moretier in Stakeout.

I kept wondering if maybe Angelo had told Frankie to keep his distance from Jennifer because in reality, Frankie was Angelo's love child and thus, Jennifer's half brother.

I think in the end, they wanted you to believe that these two "beautiful people" fell in love and lived happily ever after. But they aren't actually all that beautiful and that just makes it that much more endearing. When they found each other - then they had everything they'd ever wanted! And it was there, waiting for them, all along ~

this is funny and kind of romantic. why did people rate this so low? sylvester stallone does a good job and the girl who plays the housewife does such a good job!

Its seems like they just grabbed some random scenes, and put them all together, and said "its a movie"

Stallone cria um personagem simpático, mas o péssimo roteiro e a falta de talento do diretor transformam o filme em uma experiência lamentavelmente ruim - e Madeleine Stowe já pode se aposentar depois...

Sly - despite his seemingly unquenchable desire to prove me otherwise - deserves better than this. Full Review

Hopefully, someone will look at this film, realize that Stallone has the potential to headline a better movie again...and next time I'll be reviewing a film of his that isn't just 'endurable'
