When?s the last time I gave a slasher film 4 stars, let me think, like never. This is about the best slasher film with special effects that I have ever seen, One scene when a young man's insides are strung out and hanging above him is unreal. This is from the 2009 Eight Films to ... read moreDie for Series and this ranks up there with one of the best I have seen. $ College students traveling for vacation, wreck and end up at the wrong hospital, want to add one for your next horror marathon, throw this one in there 4 Stars.

A by-the-numbers horror flick that hopefully warns college twenty-something that if you come to New Orleans and drunk drive home, you will get seriously fucked by the less controlled people of the surrounding parishes.

The fantastic thing here though that I must recommend EVERY... read more horror enthusiast see is an effects installation towards the very end where one of the main character's body has been completely dismembered, all of his organs suspended, and he is still alive. It's a truly impressive piece of art and this film doesn't deserve its high caliber of artistry.

'Autopsy' has a cool location, it makes you jump and delivers lots of great gore, as well as some good deaths and decent acting.
It's a crazy effort for a slasher, and it has it's moments, but it's nothing too great but definitely it worth the time.

What total unmitigated pants. I have seen worse but by God this was a close second. Car crash, drunk kids, weird ambulance, medical experiments, really rather poor effects of blood and guts. This was a little cheesy but I like the gorey scenes. I liked the part where the girl bashed in one of the guy's head in.

Noting new here, but Autopsy proceeds to execute its creepy hospital plot archetype in entertaining and sometimes twisted ways without ever becoming anything truly memorable.

I've always had a tendency to root for the underdog, which is one reason why I keep returning to these After Dark Horrorfest films. Autopsy is an above-average entry in these series: not great (or even good) by any stretch of the imagination, but it easily clears the bar establi... read moreshed by previous Horrorfest efforts.

A group of college students are involved in a car accident and find themselves whisked to a nearly-deserted hospital by a suspiciously convenient ambulance. Once there (as if we couldn't see this coming), things are not as they seem. The hospital staff begins picking off the new patients one by one, apparently in an effort to use their body parts to keep the doctor's sick wife alive. As these things usually go, one plucky heroine has to beat the bad guys and escape with her life.

The movie has all the hallmarks of the amateur horror film: an enthusiastic cast, clunky dialogue, occasionally choppy editing, and predictable inconsistencies in plot. Robert Patrick ( as the doctor) and Jenette Golstein (as the head nurse) have to be wondering just how they ended up here from Terminator 2 and Aliens, respectively, but the rest of the cast of up-and-comers seems to be having fun playing to all the usual horror movie tropes. Autopsy is mildly suspenseful, adequately gross, and just silly enough to make it worth a watch.

Autopsy does little new, but takes us through its teens-in-peril scenario with visual flair and some pleasingly inventive gore. Full Review

A dry set-up and a familiar setting, but its got an admirable devotion to old-fashioned, over-the-top, Fango-friendly gore-gasms. Full Review
