I am a big fan of the show and found this film funny at times. But even its average length feels like watching Titanic 7 times as the plot is thin like a lot of episodes of the TV Show. If this was like a Looney Tunes short and just had those individual laugh out loud moments, i'... read mored call it a masterpiece. Unfortuantely it wasn't a hilarious ten minute episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. It was a movie.

Nonsensical absurdity & that's a good thing, it was really fun

Little more than a feature length version of an ATHF episode. It has got its funny parts, and I can't believe I've waited this long to remember to type a lil review. Definitely rent/buy the DVD as there are some cool features about making the movie, and Patti Smith does the comme... read morentary along with her son, the guy who does Shake's voice, and some people from The Onion. It's pretty amazing to stretch ATHF's obscenely odd material into such a long piece, but the difficulty shows as I think this packs less laughs per minute than the 11 minute shows aired. Still ATHF fans HAVE to see this.

It's pretty much exactly what you'd expect from the Aqua Teen people. Since I love ATHF, I thought it was hilarious Plus, 'twas great to hear Mastodon's wonderful little intro to the movie.

Just as hilarious and random as the show.
  • December 15, 2007
Ridiculous and outrageously stupid. A super weak plot and not the greatest animation in the world. It's damn good then, that this is absolutely hilarious. It's certainly one of those films you will get straight away and love or just be left scratching your head. Does a good job a... read moret extending the TV formula, especially considering not even The Simpsons could quite make the stretch. An amazing intro had me in tears and unfortunately the film does begin to sink towards the end.

This movie wasn't that good. I guess they forgot they were making a movie, not a bad episode.
  • October 10, 2007
I expected less, but I thought it was very funny and entertaining. Long live the Aqua Teens!!

Let me get one thing straight here. Only watch this if you have seen the Aqua Teen Hunger Force TV series, or at least know what it is about. Before watching this I had doubts that an 80 minute movie would be a little too much Aqua Teen to handle at a time, but I was mis... read moretaken.

The story is complete rubbish and so ridiculous. Things are happening for no reason and it seems like whatever came to the writers heads was put directly into this. The opening credits don't even appear to the 10 minute mark of this film. Talk about weird. You also have a shake, a meatball, and a carton of fries leading this film. But, it is the Aqua Teen Hunger Force, so it is a-okay.

The animation is so lame compared to more popular animes and cartoon series nowadays. It seems like this cheap looking crap was done by people with no artistic talent whatsoever. But, it is the Aqua Teen Hunger Force, so it is a-okay.

The voices are pretty ridiculous and annoying at the same time. There is even a robot whose voice is so robotic that its really hard to make out what is being said most of the time. But, it is the Aqua Teen Hunger Force, so it is a-okay.

All I have to say here is that this movie is WEIRD. But, it is the Aqua Teen Hunger Force, so it is a-okay.

Just a long episode so don't bother unless you already like the show. I was surprised that since they had the freedom of an R rating there wasn't more swearing than there was; but trust me when I say that they make up for it with other things.

The brainchild of Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis isn't immune to the problem often faced by supersize cartoons -- namely, what might be effectively clever when doled out in episodic portions tends to ...

ATHF can seem brilliantly deconstructive one moment and stupefyingly boring the next -- or to provide a more accurate ratio, it can follow five brilliant seconds with five straight minutes of boredom. Full Review

It's one thing to catch Aqua Teen in 15-minute increments on TV, but sitting through a feature-length onslaught is an endurance test even for devoted viewers. Full Review

So insane it approaches a sort of mad brilliance, this full-length Cartoon Network spinoff must have been made with chemical enhancement in mind. Enter with a clear head at your own risk. Full Review

The writers seem to proceed from the adolescent assumption that anything that crosses their minds is automatically funny. To them, sure.

The movie is warped, to be sure, but even fans will have to admit that the laughs are stretched pretty thin over nearly 90 minutes. Full Review
