Beautifully animated, but downright lousy in every other aspect. Incest for the sake of incest, a totally nonsensical plot and bad characters ruin this beyond salvage.
I was never a fan of the manga, but my friend convinced me to check out the movie. I regretted it since. There's no real strong plotline, just basically biblical references and blood. I stopped halfway through because I couldn't take it, but others may like it.
Kaori Yuki is truly mind blowing with her work. it is so beautiful and not matter what you will get sucked into her little twisted world
Yet another anime movie that tried to condense and entire comic series into 1 movie. if you haven't read the comics dont' watch it. It won't make any sense.
This was based off one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE mangas. It's a little twisted and I dont' think Michael (my favorite character) makes an appearance but it's still a good anime.
I just love everything about Haven and Hell fighting, especially when they add a love story. Plus, IT ANIME!!!!
As predictred, the manga was WAY better. The animation quality left something to be desired, and, unfortunately, Kaori Yuki just wasn't popular enough for a proper dub version in America. It was TERRIBLE. Don't EVER watch the dub version.
incest references aside, this is one not to miss. the story is twisted, some GREAT one-liners, and some kick-ass fight scenes. they should REALLY continue this series.
I don't know how they could have thought they would be able to capture the entire manga in just three volumes.
