A comedy about celebrity, family and other forms of insanity.
Not bad but not so good either. America's Sweethearts is one of those movies where if you've seen the preview, you've seen the movie. The story was kinda dull and boring at times. Hank Azaria's accent was one the ugli... read more -

It's about as good as you're going to get with the typical romantic comedy formula. It has a great cast that work well off each other, but it is extremely predictable and cliched. Still, it's worth a watch. Fluff isn't always bad to watch, it can get you optimistic if nothing else.

The premise falters along with much of the shtick.
Both harmlessly cynical and deeply fatuous. Full Review
America's Sweethearts is a balloon, all right -- a lead one.
Too cynically slick and emotionally shallow. Full Review
A lackluster screwball comedy and dubious Julia Roberts vehicle. Full Review
A clunky ribbing of the movie industry. Full Review
The movie is a polished muddle, fitfully amusing but with no spine. Full Review
Doesn't contain a single genuine emotion. It's just as bogus and hollow as the movie business it portrays. Full Review
