July 26, 2012fb100000293612769Horrid acting and a pointless script make this film unwatchable and an unnecessary project to begin with.

I hate when Jason Lee yells. It sounds cheesy. And this movie was boring. Not like the first one. Worst than the second one.

family friendly and great for kids, just as the previous two, but for the parents who have to watch it its less personal than the first. the humor is less clever, even for a guy like me that grew up on these characters.

Chipwrecked!
Not horrible. The movie is not that great, the story is just so crappy that really makes laughing almost impossible and coming from a guy that used to love the Alvin and the Chipmunks cartoons when he was a kid. They really should have stop with the first film but ... read more -

It scored laughs in the worst possible sense. The ability to be funny because it well and truly wasn't.

December 29, 2011fb100000145236770Of the three chipmunk movies, I think this is the best one. The first two concentrated on their musical careers, whereas this one was just a straight up adventure film. I used to love the old cartoons, especially their cartoon movie. The one with the hot air balloons, with the... read more

December 28, 2011fb733768972Alvin and the Chipmunks are back, and more unwelcome than ever before. Once the first film hit theatres, I shook my head and accepted it for what it was, a fun kids flick. The second movie treaded on too long while pretty much becoming a rehash of the original with new characters... read more

Alvin and The Chipmunks: Chipwrecked is better than the previous installment but is still an humiliation to film and is another example that they need to end the series. The story revolves around The Chipmunks and Chipettes who are on a cruise to a huge Music Awards, but soon af... read more

But only if you are under 10
Adults will have to take strong medication to get through this one, but if you are a little kid, you'll love it. Why?
It's bright, has colorful characters, noisy, etc. The adults are stupid and love the 'kids', no matter what they do. The story, ... read more

The obvious nods to Castaway, Lost and other pop culture references are barely worth a grin. Full Review
You usually have to go to an Adam Sandler movie, or the Quad Cinema, to see something as incompetently made as "Alvin and the Chipmunks.'' Full Review
"Chipwrecked" serves up more of the derivative chaos that floats this franchise's boat. Full Review
It's an uninspired and instantly forgettable film. But it completely succeeds by its own standards: an 87-minute rainy-day distraction that will probably make a zillion dollars. Full Review
Maybe for the next installment, they can go off to college and find something better to do than making these silly movies. Full Review
There is chipmunk gambling. There is seductive dancing by Chipettes wearing only towels. There is a musical gag involving the lyric "whip my tail back and forth." Full Review
If only they were truly stranded on that desert island... Full Review
Good news: The shrill CG rodents, who last infested theaters in 2009's Squeakquel, are stranded on a jungle island with little hope of survival. Bad news: They've brought us along. Full Review
You know there is something wrong with a movie when even David Cross in a giant pelican suit isn't funny. Full Review
