This film really was not trying to make a statement about homosexuality. It was more about disfunctional upbringings adversely impacting the way we relate to others. I think this is one of the reasons I enjoyed it. In not beating you over the head with "accept me because I am gay... read more

I really liked this movie. Its characters are quirky but believably so, which is rare. Really funny.

This is one of my absolute favorite movies!
Love the track "Please Forgive Me" by David Gray. -

It's quite a simple story. Before I thought it was too simplistic but its simplicity is a positive thing; it's a first-of-its-kind near genre bender (Gay and straight romcom). The dialogue is funnier than I remember it and the characters more likable - probably because I grew int... read more

This is my favorite romantic comedy with Gay/Straight characters. This is NOT just a gay themed movie. There are 2 love stories going on at the same time. One gay character has a best friend that is good straight, and the other gay character has a female friend that is looking fo... read more

Not your typical gay romance. I liked that the film showed a gay man with flaws. It seems to me at least that gay men in movies ALWAYS have their lives together and are utterly fabulous. I would say the majority aren't like that. Nice to see gay man protrayed as a human being fo... read more

It is a damn shame, the hot one is the least likeable of the two leads. I guess that why we like the bad boys huh?

Nice romantic story with good ending. Surprised at how well Richard Ruccolo did. Don't think Dan Bucatinsky should have portrayed the charater he wrote though--although he did a decent job.

Critic Reviews
It may not be totally fresh and original, but All Over the Guy is nearly void of gay stereotypes. Full Review
As one predictable scene follows another, it becomes progressively more likable and more watchable. Full Review
Sweet but often tedious.
Probably plays better on the stage. On film, the dialogue sometimes seems too writerly, too cute. Full Review
A nicely turned and witty screenplay from Bucatinsky.
The movie's entertaining for some wickedly funny situations and witticisms.
The principals begin to lose any distinction and soon start sounding exactly the same. Full Review
It's light and fun, with some peppy dialogue, but it's also sentimental and predictable. Full Review
Bucatinsky and Ruccolo are sufficiently ingratiating to sustain interest and amusement. Full Review
