July 30, 2011Just saw this again, & I must say, it's better than the Collin Ferrel Version of recent.Although Richard Burton with his obvious wrinkles & laugh lines didn't look like the young Alexander, he acted the heck out of the role.The Movie was visually a Feast of the Senses.

October 16, 2007I thought Burton played a more vital Alexander. He takes this role and embodies every attitude of the young Macedonian king. Unlike Stone's recent portrayal using a sniveling Colin Farrel, who couldn't lick the boot of Richard Burton.
