A companion piece to Genesis, Nacho Cerdà manages to fill an entire half hour with an abundance of gore and an absence of sophistication and good taste. The purpose being: 'Let's see how many disgusting and perverted acts we can squeeze into a 30 minute film'.
Xevi Collellmir, Jordi Tarrida, Ángel Tarris, Pep Tosar

Interesting piece of visual art (if that's the right word?), but lacking of any real story.
Fans of gore will appreciate the ghastly realness of the film, though the whole thing comes across a bit self-indulgent.
I guess you can't really call it "torture porn" if the victims a... read more -

Cedra's second feature, "The Awakening" is a lot more popular of the trilogy because of the known fact of its extreme amount of exploitation. So to automatically start to point out all the things wrong with this film would not only be too easy but clichéd.
The film starts out... read more -
