Somewhat disturbing being reminded of not only the prevalence of the disease but also of the casual treatment by the main character; i.e., even though at first he refuses medical treatment, then finds it di... read moresgusting and finally eroticizes it, he still engages in casual sex. Some parts of the film are not clear but I suppose they were not really needed for the main theme of the main character eroticizing both his mental and physical pain.

A Year Without Love isn't a sex movie (so don't expect one), but a studied examination of how one man folds jarring events into the everyday fabric of his life. Full Review
