Very good movie. As always Barbara Streisand has a phonoemenal voice and despite Kris Kristostofferson's hairyness and his drug and alchohol abuse it was a very good movie.

Unnecessary remake, set in the world of music rather than film. Streisand tries, and she does do okay, but the movie has too many cliche's and lacks originality. Some great musci though, especially the Oscar winning song "Evergreen".

Interesting re-make of the 1954 version, that doesn't portray the fame in hollywood, but rather the making of a rockstar; the story changed according the 1970 culture.

Eh...I wasn't that impressed. The 1954 version of "A Star is Born" starring Judy Garland is far superior!
