Pacino made me stick with it, and supporting players Alicia Witt and Neil McDonough weren't entirely awful. As for the rest of it... ugh. Terrible direction, and "Seattle" was so obviously Vancouver (with Canada Post trucks, Roots and Shoppers Drug Mart storefronts on the skyline... read more

88 Minutes is the worst film of 2008. The film considering who was involved (Al Pacino) such a cinematic legend might of been good. Unfortunately, it wasn't this film is one of the worst films I have ever seen. The film also proves that even the greatest actors can make beyond aw... read more

Director Jon Avnet released this film with Al Pacino just before "Righteous Kill" where he reteamed Al with Bob. If you have seen the disaster that was that film then you pretty much get the idea where this one is headed. In fact, if I were Bob DeNiro I'd be pretty peeved that Al... read more

Oh, Al Pacino, what happened? Once you were one of our most acclaimed thespians; now you star in crap like this "thriller," whose implausible storyline and ridiculous characters pale next to a performance in which you seem to be either half-asleep or yelling. And the worst part? ... read more

The script doesn't offer many good surprises and Avnet's direction is only by the book, but the greatest problem is the unconvincing poor ending.

Who has time to crimp her hair in the middle of a murder plot? Terrible dialogue, mawkish personal stories, and extremely simplistic discoveries.

Well, there are good parts and bad parts to this film. I felt the basis of the storyline was good and this could have turned out to be a pretty good Thriller, but the film somehow felt way too corny to have Al Pacino star in it.
Pacino himself played an ok role (in comparis... read more -

Want to know what I learned from this movie? Serial killers have magical powers, and editors sometimes have great senses of humour. Watch the first scene again: the editing is comedy gold.
The only reason this film gets a star at all is because I thought that the climax was a ... read more

Nothing would give me keener pleasure than to reveal the identity of the killer, but a day after seeing the film I have genuinely forgotten. Full Review
It's quite possibly the worst movie of 2008 so far.
The galumphing serial-killer picture 88 Minutes is dumb enough to be straight out of the parodies in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Full Review
The preposterous "88 Minutes" is a serial killer movie starring Al Pacino's festival of hair. Full Review
This movie is Battlefield Earth bad. It's 10,000 B.C. bad. It's bad with a side of fries and a cherry cola. Full Review
Not merely Pacino's over-mannered, near-histrionic performance, but the movie itself could be characterized as busy, busy, busy. It's so full of plot twists and revelations and exploding sports cars t... Full Review
An inane thriller whose major fear factor hinges on a menacing phone call, the film also relies on a silly phrase intended to fill the viewer with unspeakable terror: 'Tick tock, Doc.' Full Review
Too bad the sober tone only makes for a movie that pretends at seriousness but that can't really be taken seriously. Full Review
Although it's often laugh-out-loud laughably bad, 88 Minutes is mostly just a slog. Full Review
