The decadence and debauchery of disco's palace comes off as only dull. Myers is good and Hayek --- she's always easy on the eyes.

Light soap opera story, Summer of Sam captured better the mood of the time. Mike Myers is surprisingly not that bad in this role, probably the only passable performance the man has ever done. Also, somebody has any idea of why Hayek has a career in hollywood? She can't act and ju... read more

Average - not as bad as some reviews made out, but nothing amazing either. Salma Hayek and the fun 70's soundtrack are the best thing about this movie. I never find Ryan Phillippe especially convincing as an actor either and this one is no exception.

Not bad, not bad at all. It's hard not to enjoy a film that's constantly beaming cool seventies music into your brain. Disjointed in places, but not badly enough to ruin the film.

This movie has one of my favorite soundtracks. If you want some feel good music then this is it one after anoher hot song thrown from the age of disco.

Great soundtrack! The Stars on 54 version of "Can You Read My Mind" is awesome. Great music. I wish I could go back to Studio 54; actually I was there in 2000 to see a production of "Cabaret". It was a great soap-opera of a movie with great music. I find myself wanting to re-watc... read more

Mike Myers was really good in this one. I think he should do more serious roles. The story was pretty basic though.

Mike Myers was the best part of "54". His performance is so unlike any previous roles. The style, the music, and the acting are straight out of the 70's. If you want to see Ryan Phillippe without a shirt for an hour and a half, then here is your chance.

Decadence has rarely looked so pathetic, lethargic and dispiriting as it does in this listless film. Full Review
Mecca of cool turns out lukewarm.
The movie is flat, logy, and amateurish -- a Scotch - tape- and - balsa - wood job. Full Review
54 is an entertaining and surprisingly serious look at the infamous New York discotheque, with a genuine nostalgia for the late '70s and early '80s, tempered by a healthy dose of jaundice - but withou... Full Review
Except for Myers, and for many he will make the movie worth watching. He's absolutely shagadelic and completely unexpected. This should have been his movie. Full Review
You see garbage bags filled with cash, a lot of avid cocaine snorting and fleeting glimpses of Warhol and Truman Capote, but it all feels ho-hum. Full Review
