If you could ever recommend any decent vampire films, that are full of scares; then 30 Days Of Night is by far the best suggestion you could ever get.
Full of decent scares, suspense and violence, this is by far the greatest vampire film to date! -

Not bad vamp flick, not really scary or spooky but very bloody and gory. The story and location is slightly original and it looks good, very slick but it kinda reminds me of 'AvP'. The vamps aren't really like traditional vamps more like aliens or creatures and not really effecti... read more

The idea of a vampire attack in Alaska, where there won't be daylight for 30 days is fantastic of course. And the set-up is still pretty interesting and promising. Sadly, you notice rather soon that the film is not making the most of it. The majority of the characters is rather u... read more

Weird ellipses cheat us in the narrative ... Jump cuts in the fights and the strobey effect make things look like a video game melee ... Dialogue and timing is great until Ben Foster, as a grizzled vagrant Renfield figure opens his mouth 10 minutes in. The whole movie is elevated... read more

Thanks to Steve Niles' comic book miniseries, David Slade gets the chance to bring 30 Days of Night to life.
Hovering around 1 hour and 50 minutes, 30 Days of Night chugs along at multiple speeds. The story itself does span 30 days; however, everything that takes

The problem is structural. After the invasion, we're marooned with the dull survivors. Full Review
A terrific horror premise goes begging in the garbled Halloween offering 30 Days of Night.
It has a fairly original premise and some blood-curdling moments, but it's also predictable, repetitive and vile.
If this is the kind of movie you're looking for, it delivers. Full Review
30 Days of Night is the kind of gruesome but entertaining survival guide you pray you never have to follow: how to stop vampires killing you during the darkest days of Alaskan winter. Full Review
30 Days of Night manages to do for the vampire genre what 28 Days Later did for the zombie flick: give age-old monsters a modern-day makeover. Full Review
It's clear the film script has gone through the standard Hollywood death-of-a-thousand-rewrites wringer to emerge as shadow of its former self, drained of much of its creative synergy. Full Review
30 Days of Night is the well-paced and entertaining horror debut of Hard Candy director David Slade, who captures the coolest parts of Steve Niles' comic book series on the big screen. Full Review
A truly terrifying hell-ride through darkness for grownups. Full Review
