An interesting sports movie which somehow survives Keanu Reeves. Gene Hackman makes it well worth the time.

One of the worst things I have ever had the misfortune of watching. Cliche writing, terrible acting, this movie gets very little right.

Not so much a sports movie but rather a sports fantasy fried in buckets of greasy charm. Still watchable but only just.

I'm not a huge fan of sports movies in general, but this was semi-descent. It's kind of so wacky that you almost can't enjoy it on some level. The cast worked good together and I actually think that it's one of Keanu Reeves best performances.

"Every athlete dreams of a second chance. These men lived it."

An agreeably and unapologetically lightweight late-summer blockbuster.
Don't be fooled. The movie is bad -- very, very bad. Full Review
While there's plenty in this movie that's mildly funny, The Replacements is nothing more than a high school romp. Full Review
A new low in the career of director Howard Deutch. Full Review
A soggy comedy.
Often entertaining despite itself, thanks mostly to a screenful of surprisingly engaging performances.
Plenty of red meat here but also so much script rot that both ought to be recalled by the FDA.
Just like a low-budget football comedy, only with money. Full Review
