Charles Bronson at 63 or so, continues his vigilante persona in this run-of-the-mill crime drama about a Richard Speck-style killer who knifes young nurses to death. There is no doubt that the film ex... read more read more...ploits both the heinous, 1966 Speck murder of eight nurses in Chicago and an audience's willingness to go along with the Bronson character, Leo Kessler, when he uses illegal means to entrap criminals. The captured killer, Warren Stacey (Gene Davis) manages to go free because of red tape and the need to wait for the outcome of his insanity plea. When he returns to his murderous predilection, Kessler takes action to permanently stop him. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi

Wow, this could have easily been turned into a horror movie. It's a really intense thriller, lots of blood and nudity and violence. I really liked it. The actors were good, especially Gene Davis, who played the criminal. The plot is very realistic, but then Bronson's characte... read morer takes justice into his own hands and gives us some great surprises, and a cool ending.

Although it's not a Death Wish film, it might as well be, with Charles Bronson the cop kicked off the force for falsifying evidence against a murderer.

good charles bronson flick. Has him a chasing a serial killer who is now targeting his very own daughter.

When Charles Bronson died I finally realized that there is no escaping death. If God can take Bronson without a couple black eyes, everyone else is doomed. The punk in this film should have watched his step because he forced Bronson to take out the trash. Awesome!

A culmination of Bronson's life work... in case you didn't detect the sarcasm - that's not sayin' much

A good Bronson film from the early 80s. Again, it's not your typical 'Death Wish' revenge flick (although there are elements of that in it); '10 to Midnight' is more like 'American Psycho' meets 'Murphy's Law', with the peculiar premise of a totally nude serial killer (Gene Davis... read more) murdering girls who won't sleep with him and/or he sexually harasses. Bronson plays Leo Kessler, a cop not above playing dirty if the ends justify the means. I think that "Bronson v, Patrick Bateman' is a good way to describe this movie to someone wanting to know what it's about. Typical Right Wing propaganda about how liberal justice system is soft on crime, minorities want to rape your daughters, etc... abound here, but somehow ends up being enjoyable despite these gripes.

This is a straight up old school slasher flick meets Death Wish. Not an Academy award fill but solid action through and through.

If you like slasher flicks this one is a good one. Charles Bronson as detective chasing a young male nude killer. Put the kids to bed, lots of skin and nudity. The only disturbing part is watching this killers naked butt through most of the movie. Don't try to jack Charles Br... read moreonson around is the moral of this story. The ending is as good as the beginning.

Ten to Midnight is one of those movies I pop in the dvd player at least once a year.
I love revenge movies and I love Bronson, and Andrew Stevens who plays his sidekick .The fact that the killer "Gene Davis" is a hot looking guy that kills women totally in the nude isn't a bad ... read moreangle either.See, killing while naked was fashionable way before Christian Bales"Patrick Bateman" did it
You could call it a slasher because the killer does slash his victims and there are some good kill scenes, but it's basically a psychological thriller..
The story is good and the action is nonstop.Bronson is on top of his game Playing a cop who's daughter"Lisa Eilbacher" lives in the student nurse dorm that is being terrorized by the killer. It also has a good kill scene with "Ola Ray" the girl from the Michael Jackson Thriller Video.
If I were you I would buy it for your collection.

Charles Bronson is at his best in many films, here he is awesome, too. A great thriller film about a cop who tracks down a serial killer who gets let go by the system cause of a tactic by the cop to try to keep him off the streets. A great 1983 film that is a classic.

A real button-pusher with a dynamite ending. Gene Davis is memorable as the sicko villain.
