good not bad run he`s going to have if he keeps it up. Opening a new look of bond for me both the brawnie look for an agent and a killer for the good guy/hero.

Showing a lot more of the vilin in the portrayal of bond as the 'rogue' that hasn`t strayed yet while gaining regognition for loyalty all the while punished for disservice to his job/profession/country.

Cool title and plot though the screenplay usually takes a little more ...around the world so to say, making it hard to not get caught up with the theatrics ...though not a difficulty in this picture.

Some praise for the cast though little for the C.G. and stunts overall even though a couple of really special moments.

well just got home from the viewing and have to say I didn't get it then and don't get it now *sarcasim* but the full picture was great. You can't stammer on minor detail and it dos'nt wash when you don't, but questionable logic does prevail. This amung other notable repeat concepts were sub plots for the the elaborate sublime in explaining this ...dream working ...elaborately.

Being close to someone you love, loved or connected to through similar days events and sharing dreams is not hard to grasp, and this 'going below' ( ha and in layers if not complex enough ) or dream sharing as one could call it, to get 'jobs done' for each heist, but (I still say I didn't get it lol-how basic) Its is how far Nolan went with it in a very imaginative, action adventure, in a fantasy relm close if not the closest one can get to the real world/present day earth.

The difficulty in viewing I found was all the pressing dialog distracting from the basics, though explaining as I stated above where, what, who and how at times, for the subliminal aswell ...if your following the underlying concepts.

So it is really a personal affection one can only get first hand on this. .. well, "great film" really.

I don't often enough get to the big screen leaving it up to the eyecandy cartoons or 3D films these days but this did have the stanger than the norm scenes and a thunderous surround that yerns your attention for the more complexities. This was'nt one but I think would be much better at the cinima, not DISAPPOINTED.

about to sit in to this film and am engrossed over this. I have seen some advancements (not mutant enhancements or cybernetic for tht matter) in science with robotics in the last few years but this blew me away in a periodic, perpetual sort of kinetic energy possibilities kinda way.

youtube: quantum levitation ... Suspending a superconducting disc above or below a set of permanent magnets. The magnetic field is locked inside the superconductor ; a phenomenon called 'Quantum Trapping'.

Well basically it`s greaat, retro and set fantastic as the x-men story emerges into a tale of the begining, the true 'origns'. But alas, i preferred Wolverine`s glance at it and if you`d be so kind as to read the wiki excerp on the description for the 'avengers' collective-list there`s two side to the beging of that published unification aswell, perhaps a disagreement in terms here too (for harsh language and carrying the P.G. rating here) from the comic come feature excitement.

...but hey the fantasy of 'superhero' is what it is and this was a grand chapter.
X-Men Origins - Wolverine 2009,  PG-13)
X-Men Origins - Wolverine
Ffark, it took me long enough to get through the series to date, abt 6 weeks, i got around to it... and in anticipation for this... umm pretty good really, latest feature instalment .

Did you get the change of direction in the sceen. Re: the/his dog tags, watch and see if it moved you as it did me.

The film itself was complete and seeing a ruthless good guy/bad guy in (liev schreiber) playing vincent, aka sabertooth, (recently stared in the feature film 'Defiance' with script brother - (daniel craig), equally as dangerous a duo, errhm when back to back (yes blokes have a besties concept too hehe)... enstilling tht friends can be enemies too... in a weird way, during their time with oneanother (brothers being a strong enough relationship to picture it).

The villans and root theme of the very rare metal compound injected into his or other mutants, skeleton creating a hudgely supieror warrior being, for military use, was both enthalling a bit, to a degree, but too much was repeated re: the other mutants powers. Esspecially good was the the collective combination of powers concept that I won't go too much further into.

Hey, great modern superhero adaptation adventure flick with enough action to keep you going from both a non action fan ie; chick flick fans, and weapons fieends out ther, enjoy.

21 Jump Street
super cool fun and nostalgic (showing my age) even tho nothing like it's predecessor by the same namesake, it really has only one thing in common. instead of an edgy 1hr police drama series screened wkly for the lucky few alive back then. this was a American Pie in comparison but hey what isn't.

Fun and a little goofy action (we still like to blow shit up-at what ever age) kept the chuckles going.

Winter's Bone 2010,  R)
Winter's Bone
a sucker punch drama, powerfull enough. About some lesser fortunate types there in redneck-land (please never lose your sense of culture) but with issues even for them.

Jennifer Lawrence is rather awesome but so are numerous others yet the consistency wasn't there from the cast as was from the direction. A really moving piece for ..like someone else's troubles kinda film but her determination brings it home.

Fine piece
One for the Money 2012,  PG-13)
One for the Money
pretty bad but i sat the whole way with a dumb sit com like smile on my face throughout and in company of family which is a huge gen gap bonus. sure to see on the small screen in numerous repeats.
Blood Work 2002,  R)
Blood Work
thrilling to last quite suited for the small screen. not his best work as a hard edged cop but is comical at the predicament of dirty harry with preliminary rigamortise.

A good watch
Elephant White 2011,  R)
Elephant White
rubbish and a pretty hard sit through. good attempts at a film though falls way short.
The Guard 2011,  R)
The Guard
A helarity i wasn't expecting. So random down to earth reality bobby has his own way-o doing things so when the national constabulary giv word of international interests in his home town things turn homicidal real quick and i'm not talking the qua;lility of the hookers, or firepower of the kids. Man must fess up, conquer demons and get the jod done the only way it's going to.
Lockout 2012,  PG-13)
good, some basic film work here so don't get too excited though CGI lifts and so does a lot of the performances.

Expect a top criminal incarceration action but get a b-grade sci-fi breakout action dribble the die-hards will enjoy.
Solomon Kane 2012,  R)
Solomon Kane
awesome, surprisingly good fantasy hack and slash. If you like Conan or the like this will blow you away.

Total Recall 2012,  PG-13)
Total Recall
shockingly good despite some reviews i enjoying the action and sci-fi aspect compounded with copious CGI.

remakes are a hard task yet elementally somewhat easy, but this shed a different light at every turn. quite good.
Spanglish 2004,  PG-13)
MacGruber 2010,  R)
helli-arie-ous!!! not to miss bridesmaids. jack and jill pidgin pair, but with one for which gender, have to let you decide.

grossly vulgar, gory and slapstick.
Deliverance 1972,  R)
moving action an obviously well received classic.

Starship Troopers: Invasion
different full feature adaptation from the franchise deliberately characterizing though very very shallow allowed for a long list to get to know... saddup! your dead sooner or later
Dear John 2010,  PG-13)
Dear John
weirdly infectious chick flick and through him being such a current esteemed presence it grew on me. i could both relate and disassociate. enjoyable feature.
The Last Kiss 2006,  R)
The Last Kiss
clever monogomous type of rom com where a fight can ever only have a make up a little better than the dispute ...or can it.

stoked a fav film for this popular mix realm take on fantasy children's adventure and a very necessary continuance to follow please.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey 2012,  PG-13)
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
3D cinematic awesomeness. cant review to credit after only one screening. There's alot going on and once endured the fun song (movie-like) full intro to the characters (i thought was far to shallow) led to a chase plot of cat and mouse, disappointing ly for the strength and industrial powerful dwarf kin downward spiral journey of reprise

True Lies
Dark Shadows 2012,  PG-13)
Dark Shadows
really very good. surprisingly not so quirky Depp considering the premise.
Argo 2012,  R)
much better than i thought and some good all round only a movie, semi documenting mini bio (best thing not of just an individual or an event but as a group of people) and being about people was all the better. Humanity film and a deserved winner among great films
Resident Evil: Retribution 2012,  R)
Hitchcock 2012,  PG-13)
Hitchcock (2012)

Directed by: Sacha Gervasi
Release Date: November 23, 2012
PG-13, 1 hr. 38 min.

Interesting period biopic allowing for for a depth of theoretical voyeuristic characterization by the viewer upon an ever intriguing individual in the movie biz whom was around for a lot of time and wisdom.

An obese and perhaps an obsessive compulsive man but an utterly engrossed one, in his art form as a director. A true loving tale of both a partnership of the mind (domestically) and matter (in work and critique) with a radiant and powerful compassionate Helen Mirren as Alma Reville

Fantastic film and a must see.
Skyfall 2012,  PG-13)
truly awesome cinematic experience.

We had a bond a thon on t.v. around screening time and it was the best bond to date, again lol
Mission: Impossible 1996,  PG-13)
TMNT 2007,  PG)
Taken 2 2012,  PG-13)
Jurassic Park 1993,  PG-13)
Jurassic Park
Really good and only just slightly disappointing considering it's age and my anticipation for one of the most advanced thriller's of it's time. An all-road great movie. So ..it was an un-elaborate type of film, very easy to grasp plot, maybe not some technical detail but overall story for a young age. The fantastically shot, every scene a keeper was a lot (too much to keep up with days films) an actor shoot-out, by meaning ..prolonged portrait shots of just ..people (and cast the was not extensive ) ...a superbly elegant Laura Dern in hiking attire (hot) ..our aussie Sam Neil looked a classic dinosaur face portrait (authentic) in every grinning close ue ..ever so suave Jeff Goldblum sounded half educated as usual as an intellectual adviser (was a super under the radar cool guy of the time) ..Bob Peck didn't have a large part though was a lot better than i remembered epitomized the dude that looks like he knows what he's doing, to perfection ..Samuel L Jackson was just the tough guy of the ..next decade to come but set a style in this way for many pictures of the time. For say 90% of the thrills it was like this, then wam-a killer dino shoot. Though this added to the classic genre of motion pictures and the tense actor driven thrillers ever since film creaton. that said the rest is spectacular graphic (animatronic) imaging even to today's standards and all models very palatable and lifelike. Timeless family brilliance. seen it. one of the most monument-us film industry films of my viewer life if sure.

Can't wait to see this new 3D version opening this week in Oz
Return to Paradise 1998,  R)
Return to Paradise
interesting. good poinient and enlightening. well acted though very much the romance in drama over an international law film and rather a deep shit travelers for whom are easily led astray even if they think there the people if at all.
Lawless 2012,  R)
Good, theoretically a bio-pic and period piece, Documented as such. Set in a time when gettin things done the way the;ve been getting done for centuries by hillbillies who like letting things slide either down or across the throat, either side of the legal strong arm. At a time of corruption and the tweaking the original hot rods muscle on the roads.
Gangster Squad 2013,  R)
Gangster Squad
Another real hot shoot em up of a typical era of strict prohibition on social drugs causing hard ass cops to go about getting things set straight. Cops all the way on this one and True Blue collar morals roped around some all out shooting tooting action you've seen an enjoyed time and again.
Alex Cross 2012,  PG-13)
Alex Cross
Stern, modern take on on a character pre-loved in the homicide/serial killer genre, once or twice made famous played by Morgan Freeman, set near the characters time of retirement.

This new adaptation of the authors character brings about the life and times earlier on in his career when a mean nemesis takes his life for a spin, and a subsequent turnpike upon morally what faith he did have for the law, to ... again ..now doing whatever it takes to get things done.

Nice mystery elements but not a patch on the by-gone feature intent, and most certainly an action over thriller concept for direction, maybe not from the onset though as it grasps your attention and gains momentum.
The Croods 2013,  PG)
The Croods
best aname since toy's 3 or how to train ur dragon. fantastic, flawless humour.
A helarity romp of jumps and bumps along the way the survival of the human race.
The Baytown Outlaws 2013,  R)
The Baytown Outlaws
not bad, actually considerably awesome in retrospect, this slightly geeky gunslinger (tarrentino like, shot em up) from director Barry Battle who rallies up (a few is more than two) more than it's share of battles of it's own. The mission is if you choose to accept it between jars of moonshine and blowin peoples faces off ..is to rescue an abducted disabled boy from the clutches of the crime boss boss of practically the whole state back into the arms of a careing albeit a little shot up, mother. There was a little bit of Eva Longoria wardrobe malfunction day before i viewed this, 'needless' to say i was up for accepting both

Billy bob is fucking funny in this just a little bit. and after recently finishing a terminal t.v. series called 'last resort' - a submarine capt. played by Andre Braugher patronizes both lovingly and underhandedly his position as the Sheriff of just about the whole county. The three boys emulatin good ole Texas rangers in a modern kinda way manage to pull it off but weren't the be all and end all of the film.

Here Comes the Boom
this was a lot more serious than first anticipated. the two other mma films released around this sports hightened exposure to popularity (again) as new styles gain generic seasoned following (in the sport) were such impactfull in a blockbuster sense and the whole vigilate following this shame not bravado-sit down feature was imminent to the masses. a good laugh right thru but in reality it would be just the one.
Lesbian Vampire Killers 2009,  R)
Lesbian Vampire Killers
an oldie but a goodie take on the resurge of poularity to this theme back to the spoof kind i guess never went anywhere anyway fun flick not not to be missed.oops
The Descendants 2011,  R)
The Descendants
i'm not one for drama's, a thriller drama if at all but this had it's merit. a low impact feel right the way through compounded by Clooney's impartiality character motivated star rolling. though it carried heavy and relevant issues all up in almost every scene, covered em all i think lol
Couples Retreat 2009,  PG-13)
Couples Retreat
a little late catch up up for this genre though had all some fav hotties and funny guy's not to be missed if you have just a spare cple hours to thow away. a lil funny hardly romantic gettin itchie flick for anyone who's been there (or still ever allways kinda is)
Cloud Atlas 2012,  R)
Cloud Atlas
oh my oh my where to begin and where to end. philosophically thinking there is allays a place for that, and a time to boot so when ever really. this picture i must say took me away, completely. it was nothing like the children's sci- fantasy i was expecting, not having seen the trailer in fear of a spoiler, they do get a little repetitive, but this was an all too new realm including it felt like all the rest as well as it swayed and displayed utter brilliance from go to woe. a real sit in.
Riddick 2013,  R)
an un-disappointing follow on to this ever slow to release franchise. some die hard followers of the original would agree the second installment was a complete diversification from the basic and basically good original sci-action thriller to an epic realm and blockbusterish attempt had all to very good merits to set down so this one was expected... and expected and... but still nothing until now so i was up for any they could come up with to conclude and open to continue stunted story.. still this was not at all it and if anything went back to the sci thriller basic feel of the first. no politics(not much) just a ghastly crude action set in a known sci-fi realm and butched to the teeth with the stars character and capabilities (again ever the elite, mystical, last of his kind super warrior). it will disappoint sourly if any expectations are previously drawn and sadly judgmentally concluded but to no avail it's just an action flick. rough as guts and just as crass, slightly more unbelievable too, no-way man just go with it, it will excite. laugh a minute.
Killer Elite 2011,  R)
Killer Elite
a bit slow apart from the chuckles, and has optimum worst case senerios for precatious modern warrior types following. it's very much worthy of it's worldly cast and they do it's kudos.
well shot though just a little novel novel script in places other than that top notch action very recommendable.

This was a new take on an old genre. a isolation flick with a twist, incorporating an zombie/undead element and some fine performances. a little underdone in the screenplay in places tho carries over with the veiwers attitude of generic horror at those times when your saying dont go out there or you just would not do that full stop otherwise good enough afternoon mattenay

Slightly more spoof that anticipated so if you dont like the take off' element getting the better of a picture, avoid. The scene is set.. many times as things in the small, overall, set in a bank, mystery heist flick as things get underway. the whodunnit is the dominating factor for the mood of the picture and the spoof element as stated, out does it. nothing really exciting tho compacted with some quite comical predicaments usually from stupidity not genuine comedic prowess (isn't that one in the same) state their nature and intent convincingly

Shocking. if you've seen species 1 2 3 or more then you've confronted these issues before, nothing new though brought to us again very well and almost a lot more supernatural than ever. not a lot from the cast except dren the half being (not superior being-disputable) is very well portrayed. I felt a little sick as reality of this activity is scrutinized/ justified (daily I'm sure, real time) but in this unreality they try to use a tactic to make everyday homeoaspien activity with the viewer a lot more associatively than i liked. ghastly picture actually i thought and of the extremes has potential to cause controversy again as an ever undying fascination of god like activity by us humans theoretically

World War Z 2013,  PG-13)
World War Z
World War Z turned out to be the flick of the yr i thought. It both embraced and quickly encapsulated the post apologetically disease ridden zombie genre we have been exposed to, filled it with loving, educated experienced status confronting the will to survive from the lead cast or just do and die with love ones as the fate of humanity unfolds. luckily for us theirs more to it than just that. driven and fast paced it's all over to quick but concludes and does it a just finish. thoughtfully enjoyable and highly recommendable

prior to viewing: I've seen Jude Law, Nicole Kidman, Mila Jockovitch and Dustin Hoffman tackle this genre. i literally cant wait, but why do we use the 'most beautiful' people to become festi infected zobie's to annihilate the human race
The Lone Ranger 2013,  PG-13)
The Lone Ranger
awsme couldnt fault it. Dry tong in cheek western comedy for the whole family. modern Disney great.

Did not know he was the green lanterns great uncle or somthing but his suprising incompetence also swept well with childhood hero tonto comming up more on top of things than Jonny Deps character actually played out to achieve.
Man of Steel 2013,  PG-13)
Man of Steel
far from the ordinary expectations and along line with actual critical acclaim this feature re-boot after a feature flop in modern times has all it needs and more to kick off some justice league dust. It ripped me in and tossed me between worlds, beliefs priorities and ..over tall building until ..well flight took it course
The Smurfs 2011,  PG)
The Smurfs
really cool animation. clearly designed for the young at heart, only really, opposed to a lot of this genre keeping the pair entertained with dialog going over young heads, but following suit with some 'fantasy meets the big modern real world' type cast. Taking nothing away but as with Tintin a special polace was wide open hear to enjoy and with DvD extras for me to appreciate the processes,, overall enjoyed immensely

A Beginner's Guide To Endings

Olympus Has Fallen 2013,  R)
Olympus Has Fallen
good confronting the elite totally unforeseen 'what if it did' circumstance effecting DeFCoN status and the value of one man/one leaders life. action packed and well enough acted as the requirement wasn't high as it seemed
