Let Me In
Great movie. Wanted to see it as a horror film and came away thinking this is one great romance movie. A lot of tender moments for a horror movie and found myself cheering for the vampire.

Trust 2010,  R)
Trust
A powerful movie that is a parent's greatest fear. I felt the horror the parents were feeling and the helplessness. At times it was hard to watch.
20
Rabbit Hole 2010,  PG-13)
Rabbit Hole
A movie that brings feelings to the surface you hope you never have to experience. Great acting by Nicole Kidman and
Aaron Eckhart. The feelings of loss and anger come through the main characters with ease.

Paranormal Activity 2
You always seem to know when that moment is coming to make you jump and it still makes you jump. The suspense throughout the movie keeps you watching, wondering what is going to happen next. Wasn't as good as first movie due to Katie Featherston reduced role in the film.
51
Beneath Hill 60 2010,  R)
Beneath Hill 60
A war movie that brings you more than the horrors of war. It brings the human cost and feelings to the forefront. All the decisions made reveal the human side to the battle. Very entertaining.
52
Syriana 2005,  R)
53
Animal Kingdom 2010,  R)
Animal Kingdom
This brutal film about a crime family deals with the loyalty of all involved. Kind of dark and cerebral, you really can never figure out how it will all work out until the last 5 minutes of the film. Slow starting but keeps you involved until the end.
54
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 2011,  PG-13)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2
Enjoyed the movie from beginning to end. Probably the darkest in the series. Non stop action from beginning to end. It will be sometime before we see such a successful series. It will take a long time for Daniel Radcliffe to shed the Harry Potter persona and it success. Never experiencing mediocrity or failure will be difficult for him to get past.

Final Destination 3 2006,  R)
56
Paranormal Activity 3 2011,  R)
57
Babel 2006,  R)
Babel
When one action starts a chain of events, this movie tells the story of all the people involved and their connection to each other. A movie that will require your full attention, but it will be well worth when you get to the end.
58
The Lincoln Lawyer 2011,  R)
The Lincoln Lawyer
This movie kept me interested throughout as you kept wondering what was going to happen next. Felt Matthew McConaughey character was always on the edge of disaster and where we were headed next in this thriller. Enjoyed the movie.
59
The Town 2010,  R)
The Town
One of the few movies where I realized I was cheering for the bad guy. The scene where Doug(Affleck) and Claire(Hall) are on the phone, touches that place in your heart where loyalty and faithfulness resides. I thought it was a great movie and never found myself wandering from the screen.
60
The Final Destination 2009,  R)
61
The Blind Side 2009,  PG-13)
The Blind Side
A very emotional movie displaying the bleak outlook for our inner city youth, but with a change in environment, horizons can change. Sandra Bullock played the part of the custodial mother perfectly. Felt as though we never learned enough about Michael in the movie.
62
Fair Game 2010,  PG-13)
63
Submarine 2011,  R)

Everything Must Go 2011,  R)
Everything Must Go
Everything Must Go was one of Will Ferrell's best performances. You felt the pain of Mr. Ferrell's character as he battled alcohol abuse. The interaction between Ferrell and Hall kept the movie interesting until the end. I have seen most of Rebecca Hall's movies and her characters are always believable and quite easy to imagine in real life. I think Mr. Ferrell should attempt more serious roles as he was excellent as the alcoholic Nick. In the end the movie brought the sadness of alcohol abuse to the surface to anyone who has experienced it. Great Movie.
65
Crash 2005,  R)
66
127 Hours 2010,  R)
127 Hours
This movie started slowly but once Aron(James Franco) gets trapped, the movie is an emotional roller coaster. James Franco's character finds out what is important in life when it is almost too late. The movie makes you wonder what your mind does once the body starts preparing for death. James Franco portrayed Aron is a very believable manner and brought the feeling of terror, grief, and regret to the surface of the viewer. How many of us would accept death first?
67
Source Code 2011,  PG-13)
Source Code
A great sci-fi thriller that keeps you engaged with it's fast pace. Captain Stevens gets to keep reliving 8 minutes until he gets it right. Thought the part played by Vera Farmiga was a surprise. The ending was a surprise.
68
Black Swan 2010,  R)
Black Swan
Natalie Portman plays the part of Nina to a scary perfection. I was unaware of when Nina slipped into insanity but the ride was both enjoyable and terrifying at the same time. It was difficult determining what was real and what was imagined and that's why Ms. Portman deserved all the praise that came her way from this role. The vivid moments of delusion kept me wondering if she really did that.
69
The Bucket List 2007,  PG-13)
The Bucket List
A great movie about the end of life and what is really important. Although the story is a little over the top, the real meaning of the story comes through all the glitz and glamor of the exotic locations. The chemistry between the two stars is great.

The Departed 2006,  R)
The Departed
Brutality keeps the main characters on the edge in this dark gangster film. Nicholson is superb as his usual on the edge character does anything to stay in control. DiCaprio does a great job getting the feeling of desperation across his character is facing.
87
Kung Fu Panda 2008,  PG)
88
The Hunter 2012,  R)
The Hunter
The cinematography is breath taking and lack of a lot of dialogue make this a great philosophical thriller that keeps you engaged. The movie is another great performance by Defoe as a conflicted character that battles within himself between duty and loyalty.
89
Super 8 2011,  PG-13)
Super 8
Reminds me of the days going to the theater so see that Saturday afternoon matinee. The classic formula of an alien wronged and young love. Ellen Fanning does a great job and keeps the movie interesting.

A great character study of how we all approach our impending death. Forget about the wolves, which looked comical at times, this was about fear and faith.

A surprisingly good movie. The main characters, Plaza and Duplass, take you on a path to the past to fix any wrongs and correct any bad choices. A weird combination of Sci-Fi, adventure and romance.

End of Watch
Gyllenhaal and Pena get this police brotherhood story perfect. The first quarter of the movie requires some patience, but after that you are taken in by the believability and camera work which makes you feel like your on patrol with them. An unexpected ending just adds to this work by Ayer. Would highly recommend watching
