unlike batman, and other comic books, this film givs a knowing wink to the genre of comic books and gives its place in history, in a world here no one dreesses up as vigilantes, one young man asks the question, and why, so he becomes kick ass, going out to do some good, but hes not that good, but help is on hand when big daddy and daughter hit girl, are doing it also, and helps him out, but there agenda is much bigger waiting for the time when they can kill a crime lord. all events come together, in a superb super hero film. what worried me at first was, could it be aimed at kids, what with the story of a young lad wanting to do more, and although it does, it doesent forget the adults, actually, they come first, lots of violence, and adult humour, full of wit, and the cast is exellent, aaron johnson is a find her playing kickass, after playing john lennon in nowhere boy, strong as the crime lord exellent, and cage fun as big daddy, but chloe moretz as hit girl is amazing, she will go far, nice language too, a thrill from start to finish, exellent direction from vaughn. and great comic book moments, looking forward to more of kick ass
danny dyer in a gentle romantic comedy, playing a surfer from california, ha no heres our danny playing another cockey geezer, whos a football hooligan, we follow hisgang as there aim to be the best and stay the best, looking at the politics and terrace, back street fighting that gives british football a bad name, im not sure if its realistic but seems grimm enough, and gets to its point,
danny dyer doing his usual role, but thats not a bad thing, in a 80s set british thriller, set in spain, following young mans dream come true, and fall, while getting involved in the crime and especially inporting of drugs, a great nostalgic look at the decade taste forgot, with some great 80s tunes, violence and comedy
enjoyable caper, and a fine leading role for hardman tamar hassan, and interesting idea as a guy has to buidup a 100 grand from nothing in 24 hours, aided by ofcourse his good friend played by cockney geezer andnational treasure himself, dany dyer. some good moments and sometimes logic out the window, but never looses its entertainment value
a film that turns itself on its head towards the end. a interesting intriguing story, not entirely sucessful, but it runs smoothly enough, and a terrific use of deserted london locations adding to the look, which come that last bit, makes sence, some dodgy acting is on show in places, but also tamer hassan on hand to lend solid turn, stick with this, and youll get something out of it
cass, the football hooligan of west hams intercity crew gets a version of his life, been seen and done before better with films like the firm, and rise of the foot soldiors, even films like i.d and the football factory, but a good performance from its star, keeps it watchable
a moody brit drama following 3 london tales, danny dyer is okay in his story, and tamer hassn does better work, in some nice scenes of a man and a women, meeting under dificult circumstances
