Top 10 most intense movies (thrillers not included)

  1. dd9mm
  2. Dave

these are movies that keep you on the edge of your seat for sometimes whole half hours at a time, and never, for a second let's you know what's gonna happen, or who's going to die before the sequence is over. in a nutshell, it makes you want to be a part of the action.

The Negotiator 1998,  R)
The Negotiator
A story of a man who believes he's falsely accused, The Negotiator is the positive end result of what happens when two great actors with two completely different styles combine to supoort a pretty good script.

to repeat myself, the coalescence of samuel l. jackson's intensity was well complemented by kevin spacey's slow cunning. I can say, without a doubt that, supported by two lesser actors, this movie would've had far lesser success.

that being said, this movie's strong acting was supported by it's well-rounded bottom. filmed and set in chicago, director gary gray's choices of beautiful locations were endless: enter majestic, modern sky toucher.
just as well, every massive vessel is powered by an engine. in this movie, the engine is the script. though at times, the movie tended to drag on not unlike most actual hostage situations, the action sequences as well as the plot twists were both intense and extremely gripping.

best line: YOU WANT MY BLOOD!? TAKE MY BLOOD!
