The Complete Brad Bird

One of my favorite animated films of all time. I would rather this get a sequel than Cars or even Monsters Inc. Both films which I also liked.

I saw this years ago as a kid as liked it, but I had forgotten so much about it. Glad I spent a short amount of time to re-watch this classic. The characters including the bi-polar Iron Giant himself are all wonderful and the story is great. I love how the ending actually makes sense and isn't just a cheap cop-out to go all Norman Rockwell on us.

Having only seen part of 1 and all of 3 I felt the 4th installment was different but much more fun. Although I enjoyed the 3rd better because it was more intense and the villain (Phillip Seymour Hoffman) was fantastic.

Brad Bird's first live action film is a great one and Cruise, Pegg, Patton and Renner all make the on-screen team come to life.

Years ago I didn't think this movie was going to be great even though I rarely doubt Pixar, but a friend encouraged me to watch it and I'm glad I did. The story comes around and finishes surprisingly strong. It's not as easy to get heavily invested into the characters or anything, but the story is as strong as they come from Pixar. Another good movie from Brad Bird also.
