Fahrenheit 451
Excellent adaptation from a very good literary work.

Planet of the Apes 1968,  G)
Brazil 1985,  R)
I understand how impacting had to be this Gillian universe, one of the first times presented. Full of imagination and absurd (you can appreciate how other directors, such as Jeunet, followed some steps), it combines humor with also tragedy and terrifying scenes. A highly agitated cocktail in this distopic story.
Metropolis 1927,  PG-13)
Although it is a difficult movie to follow, as its a silent movie, the visual work is fantastic, and the story is scarely modern, in a distopic and unpleasant future that is closest to the present times that we would like. This is one of the movies -if I were a director- that I would like to make a new version, to take the best of the original and improve it even more.
WALL-E 2008,  G)
(This comment was before watching it): A film against consumism and generating rubish, and conservatives say it is communist? It is clear that when you put a message, people with interests accuse you of strange things to discredit you. It is said it is poetic and dark. I would like to check it by myself.
(After watching it): I want to be like Wall-E, a mixture of Woody Allen, Chaplin and Short Circuit... If I have children, I´ll put them the names of Wall-E and EVA.
Cloud Atlas 2012,  R)
District 9 2009,  R)
District 9
Probably they have commented you that is an allegory about apartheid, and it is. Also has some action, but it is developed as a good story. So, very interesting movie, and very original approach.
