1
The Nightmare Before Christmas 1993,  PG)
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Great movie, too bad it's fans can sometimes be almost as annoying as star wars nerds.
2
Vincent 1982,  G)
Vincent
Tim Burton's short and sweet ode to Vincent Price narrated by none other than Mr.Price himself. I believe anyone who stayed up to watch classic B/W horror movies on tv as a kid can relate to this short.
3
Alien 1979,  R)
Alien
When you consider the technical limitations Ridley Scott faced given it was 1979, you realize this is a masterpiece.
4
Dracula: Pages From a Virgin's Diary 2003,  Unrated)
Dracula: Pages From a Virgin's Diary
i know i'm supposed to like it because it's artsy, but honestly i'm really undecided about what i just watched.
5
Leviathan 1989,  R)
Leviathan
Basically it's The Thing underwater. Great cast but it loses alot of points for complete lack of originality.
6
The Woods 2006,  R)
The Woods
I enjoyed it even though it reminded me of Susperia a little too much.
7
Forbidden Planet 1956,  G)
Forbidden Planet
Seminal sci-fi great, a must-see for all fans of the genre.
8
The Horde (La Horde) 2009,  Unrated)
The Horde (La Horde)
Diehard situation with zombies. One of the better new zombie movies i've watched in the last couple of years.
9
Priest 2011,  PG-13)
Priest
Flashy visuals can't hide the derivative plot or bad Clint Eastwood impressions.
10
Lost Boys: The Thirst 2010,  R)
Lost Boys: The Thirst
As a child of the 80's i'm always happy to see the Frog brothers back in action.
11
Constantine 2005,  R)
Constantine
Religious knock-off of The Matrix that i would enjoy more if it weren't so silly.
12
Wyvern 2009,  Unrated)
Wyvern
What if Northern Exposure had a dragon flying around eating people? Turns out it's not as interesting as it sounds.
13
Seuseung-ui eunhye (To Sir With Love) (Bloody Reunion) 2006,  Unrated)
Seuseung-ui eunhye (To Sir With Love) (Bloody Reunion)
An unusual slasher from South Korea that has some good kills and thrills.
14
Earth vs. the Flying Saucers 1956,  PG-13)
Earth vs. the Flying Saucers
Made during the height of 50's ufo-mania this War Of The Worlds knock-off stands out because of Harryhausen's spectacular creations. Compare these flying saucers to the ones in Ed Wood's Plan 9 and try not to agree. The alien voices are pretty creepy as well.
15
Igor 2008,  PG)
Igor
On the plus side: John Cusack, on the minus: Molly Shannon.
16
Monster Brawl 2011,  Unrated)
Monster Brawl
A fun low-budget Canadian send-up of monster movies, pro-wrestling and the UFC.
17
Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island 1998,  Unrated)
Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island
Scooby-Doo vs the Living Dead?!? Cool!!!!!!!!
18
The Crucible 1996,  PG-13)
The Crucible
Well written, well acted, great direction....hell let's just say it's a great movie with content that disturbed me more than any horror movie i've ever watched.
19
Species 1995,  R)
Species
This fun evil alien actioner holds up pretty good despite the cheesy 90's computer graphics.
20
The Last Man on Earth 1964,  Unrated)
The Last Man on Earth
Almost as good as Omega Man, way the f*ck better than Will Smith's I Am Legend.
21
Children of the Damned 1963,  Unrated)
Children of the Damned
Disappointing sequel to Village Of The Damned.
22
Tormented 1960,  Unrated)
Tormented
A decent late show regular that's most watchable in it's MST3K form
23
The Terminator 1984,  R)
The Terminator
Still my favourite of the series.
24
Fright Night 2011,  R)
Fright Night
Shit, it's absolute shit! The only reason it appears to be good is that over the past couple of years vampire movies have become lame. Kids, someday the movies you love will be remade into crap for the next generation and you will feel the way i do right now.
25
Dorian Gray 2009,  R)
Dorian Gray
Been a number of years since i read the book but there was alot more T&A than i expected, not that i'm complaining mind you. Not for people who need explosions every couple of minutes to keep them interested.
26
Scooby-Doo 2002,  PG)
Scooby-Doo
Matthew Lillard and Linda Cardellini got Shaggy and Velma dead on while Freddie Prinze Jr and Sarah Michelle missed the mark almost completely.
27
Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf 1990,  Unrated)
Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf
I like it, it somewhat retains the feel of the original shows with a touch of the Animaniac style humour Hanna Barbera had during the late 80's.
28
The Wicker Man 1973,  R)
The Wicker Man
Such a strange little movie.
29
Predator 1987,  R)
Predator
Classic! One of my favourite 80s movies. You get an iconic bad guy and the ultimate action hero all in one movie.
30
Idle Hands 1999,  R)
Idle Hands
An ok watch. It borrows a little too heavily from movies like Evil Dead 2 and American Werewolf In London to be truly memorable.
31
Frailty 2002,  R)
Frailty
Bill Paxton rules, man!
32
Phantom Of The Opera 1925,  Unrated)
Phantom Of The Opera
Lon Chaney at his all time best.
33
The Hunchback of Notre Dame 1923,  PG)
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
One of the best silent films out there, the stunt work astonishes me.
34
Horror High (Twisted Brain) 1974,  PG)
Horror High (Twisted Brain)
Long live Mister Mumps! Definitely a Troma-type vibe going on here.
35
Absentia 2012,  R)
Absentia
About as scary as a film about a haunted underpass can be.
36
Apollo 18 2011,  PG-13)
Apollo 18
Seriously? Paranormal Activity On The Moon? Hopefully this marks the end of the "Found Footage" trend, as it's starting to get old.
37
Trick 'r Treat 2007,  R)
Trick 'r Treat
I love the way it looked, but was somewhat disappointed in the delivery. I'll watch it again next year to see if it grows on me more.
38
The Invisible Man's Revenge 1944,  Unrated)
The Invisible Man's Revenge
Pointless sequel that was pretty much just a cash grab.
39
Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man 1951,  Unrated)
Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man
Actually better than any of the Invisible Man sequels.
40
Embryo (Created to Kill) 1976,  PG)
Embryo (Created to Kill)
Not as exciting as the title would lead you to believe, the chess scene with Roddy McDowall is pretty amusing though.
41
Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers 1995,  Unrated)
Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers
Not bad, would be better with Fred, Daphne and Velma instead of ugh..Scrappy-Doo.
42
Where Have All the People Gone? 1974,  Unrated)
Where Have All the People Gone?
Like Night Of The Comet only instead of a hot chick you get Peter Graves.
43
American Psycho 2000,  R)
American Psycho
Before Dexter there was the ever lovable Patrick Bateman, a serial killing sociopath perfectly concealed within the superficial 80s. More satire than slasher and when viewed in that context absolutely brilliant.
44
Psycho 1960,  R)
Psycho
The godfather of slasher films, plus the first film to show a toilet being flushed, what more could u want? Those who slag Psycho should keep in mind it was made in 1960 for petesake.
45
Vertigo 1958,  PG)
Vertigo
The slowburning plot makes this 2+ hour movie a bit of a challenge to sit through, but the twists make for a good ending.
46
Single White Female 1992,  R)
Single White Female
Decent suspense with plenty of T&A thrown in to appease the males in the audience.
47
Blade II 2002,  R)
Blade II
The best of the Blade movies, my only complaint is the crappy CGI makes Wesley Snipes look like Gumby during the fight scenes.
48
Disturbing Behavior 1998,  R)
Disturbing Behavior
Alot like The Faculty which came out the same year this movie manages to rip off both The Stepford Wives and The Breakfast Club.
49
The Exorcism of Emily Rose 2005,  PG-13)
The Exorcism of Emily Rose
Not the worst Exorcist knock-off i've sat through, it's interesting seeing pre-Dexter Jennifer Carpenter.
50
Heartstopper 2006,  Unrated)
Heartstopper
Watch Shocker instead.
51
Blood and Chocolate 2007,  PG-13)
Blood and Chocolate
No more than porn for teenage girls. Maybe the worst werewolves ever.
52
The Mummy's Curse 1944,  Unrated)
53
Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy 1955,  Unrated)
54
Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School 1989,  Unrated)
55
The Funhouse 1981,  R)
56
Phantasm II 2000,  R)
57
Scooby-Doo 2 - Monsters Unleashed 2004,  PG)
58
Mosura tai Gojira (Mothra vs. Godzilla) 1964,  G)
Mosura tai Gojira (Mothra vs. Godzilla)
The go-to movie of the series as it's the one that contains all of the elements casual fans associate with the big guy.
59
Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark 2011,  R)
60
The Last Exorcism 2010,  PG-13)
61
The Rite 2011,  PG-13)
62
Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey 1991,  PG)
Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey
In a much under-rated sequel, Bill and Ted set out on an odyssey thru heaven and hell in their quest to defeat Primus in a battle-of-the-bands. More subtly smart than one would expect.
63
Gremlins 2: The New Batch 1990,  PG-13)
Gremlins 2: The New Batch
This sequel is a blast, they took the original concept and went way over the top. While the first one made an attempt at being somewhat serious Gremlins 2 is a straight out comedy. WATCH FOR: Robert Picardo getting it on with the "Miss Piiggy" of gremlins yuck.
64
Beetlejuice 1988,  PG)
65
The Dead Zone 1983,  R)
66
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde 1920,  Unrated)
67
Abbott and Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde 1953,  Unrated)
68
The Ward 2011,  R)
69
Voodoo 1995,  R)
70
The Serpent and the Rainbow 1987,  R)
71
Gothika 2003,  R)
72
Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost 1999,  Unrated)
Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost
This time round Scoob and the gang head to New England with a horror writer (who looks suspiciously like Stephen King) to investigate a ghost-witch. Like all the newer movies it struggles to balance the scarier storylines with a modern hip brand of humour like Velma uttering the line "Help I've fallen and can't get up". I still like it tho, and besides how can anything without Scrappy be bad?
73
Shaun of the Dead 2004,  R)
Shaun of the Dead
If killing zombies and throwing back a few pints with your mates is your idea of a good time this is the movie for u. A very witty comedy/horror that I never grow tired of.
74
Hot Fuzz 2007,  R)
Hot Fuzz
A bit dry and a tad long so not all fans of Shaun Of The Dead are guaranteed to like it, me personally I loved it. Hope Pegg and Frost make another movie soon.
75
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance 2012,  PG-13)
76
Season of the Witch 2011,  PG-13)
77
Seven Below 2012,  R)
78
Dracula 1931,  Unrated)
Dracula
How many movies leave an impression on the public mind as long lasting as Dracula. Not many, that's why this is a classic. There are some rough patches, but Bela's performance makes up for it.
79
Frankenstein 1931,  Unrated)
80
Abbott and Costello Meet the Killer, Boris Karloff 2003,  Unrated)
81
Kingukongu no gyakushu (King Kong Escapes)(The Revenge of King Kong) 1967,  G)
Kingukongu no gyakushu (King Kong Escapes)(The Revenge of King Kong)
Believe it or not in 1967 Rankin/Bass and Toho joined forces to give us a King Kong that's kinda goofy but a lot of fun.
82
The Hills Have Eyes 1977,  R)
83
Freddy's Dead - The Final Nightmare 1991,  R)
84
Friday the 13th, Part VI - Jason Lives 1986,  R)
85
The Creeping Terror (Dangerous Charter) (The Crawling Monster) 1964,  Unrated)
The Creeping Terror (Dangerous Charter) (The Crawling Monster)
A serious contender for the worse monster ever, it's not the worse movie i've ever seen but that's only because i've watched alot of bad movies.
86
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 1986,  R)
87
The Wolf Man 1941,  Unrated)
88
The Addams Family 1991,  PG-13)
The Addams Family
A definitive 90s movie that i enjoy as much as the tv series. Question: do they kill the bad guys at the end? that's kinda fucked up.
89
Cast a Deadly Spell 1991,  R)
90
Donnie Darko 2001,  R)
Donnie Darko
Clerks meets Evil Dead set to 80s soundtrack. Also includes a 6 foot demonic bunny that could kick Harvey's ass and Patick Swayze.
91
Mad Monster Party 1967,  G)
Mad Monster Party
A Rankin/Bass claymation movie featuring all the classic monsters and er um Phyllis Diller. I enjoy it, i'm thankful it even exists, i'd enjoy it even more if it were an hour long instead of feature length.
92
Pontypool 2009,  PG)
93
The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini 1966,  Unrated)
The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini
The final Beach Party film has what's left of the cast adjourning to a haunted house for one last hurrah. I'm pretty certain Scooby-Doo was inspired by this movie.
94
Battle Royale 3D 2000,  Unrated)
95
Jacob's Ladder 1990,  R)
