Die Hard 1988,  R)
Die Hard
Simply the BEST movie EVER!

Thanks to so many elements, among which the best actor ever, the great Bruce Willis.

This movie inspired so many movies since, like Speed, or Under Siege (and 2), Don't Die Too Hard...
It gave a lot of codes to the genre.
We can see a lot of references to it in so much movies.

A lot of good fights. Especially the one against Karl, the blond guy. The fight with the chains where he's mad cause McClane killed his bro earlier is very good. So many times imitated.

The shootings through the table or in the windows are very good ideas, changing of so many very classical gun fights seen before, making them be funnier. Originality is always good in movies. And as so many movies have been done till yet, it's a luxury now.

Dialogues are very funny sometimes, and well written anyways.
Some characters are very likeable (John McClane of course, but also the nice and funny Sgt Al Powell) and some others very unpleasant (Hans Gruber, Karl, but also the guy flirting with Holly McClane, Richard, who isn't 1 of the terrorist, but clearly a person we should avoid. He's as annoying as this also in Die Harder.) So, this makes a good sauce, some very good interactions between them.

A very good idea also to have chosen this tower as main set.
The sequels are good (even excellent for Die hard with a Vengeance) but under. For example cause missing a set like this. Some kind of closed door movie's set.

The end is a very big climax. It's so good, pleasant, brilliant...

Of course, perfection doesn't exist, but I don't see what could be changed to make this film be better, sincerely. No matter if some seconds aren't excellent, it can't in any way spoil anything, as there are more than 2 amazingly wonderful hours in this movie.

Nominated for 4 Oscars, it's a shame that it didn't win any.
Also that it didn't win any nominations for the main Oscars.

Thanks everybody, neither Richard Gere, nor Don Johnson have had the role of John McClane. I can't imagine even in nightmares the movie with them instead of Bruce Willis.
Otherways, even if I really like Richard Dean Anderson (mainly in McGyver's role), I can't imagine him neither in the role, so...

I have this movie in video tape. A friend who had it in double gave me this that he recorded on TV, in 1993. Although it's far to be the most expansive, it's clearly the best gift ever made to me, or near.
I saw a lot of thousands movies since, some really are masterpieces, but no one has the level of quality, of perfection in every detail, of creativity, inventivity of the 1st Die Hard.

I sadly, don't have anymore video recorder (it's awful, considering the 400 videos I own, of which all my favs, but, it's not that expansive, so, I should buy a new one), so, I bought it a short time ago on DVD, but still didn't watch it. So, not since years, and writing this made me wanna watch it again so hard, so, I must do it now, so, I'm almost over.
;)
Yeah, I know, I was a bit telling my life, and it doesn't interess anyone, but, anyways...

If you haven't seen it, it's a wrong that you should quickly repair.
If you haven't like it, it's even a crime that you should quickly confess.

The Hills Have Eyes 2
Watcha!

I waited with a great impatience to see it, cause I really loved the 1st one.
So, in the same time, I was afraid to be disappointed, even if I knew it couldn't be totally the case.
So, bought it a few weeks ago, and finally watched it this early morning, and... waw.
So shoking and gore by moment, just what I expected, just like the 1st movie; apart that there's more death, and that's only for our pleasure.
Could've been longer, cause nowadays, 85 minutes is really short for a movie.
I hope they'll find a great idea of script for a way longer sequel, but I bet a sequel will not be longer, and as this 1 is a bit worse than the 1st 1, I'm afraid again for the next 1.

As often in that kind of movies (more specially for the sequels of horror), the cast is totally unknown (or almost), and there are some totally stupid and unlogic things, like the fact they so often break the group. Apart for the story to be more freaking, it has any logic explanation.
For example, when 4 of them are already dead, why the hell a guy leave the 4 others to go alone???
O_O
Yeah, he's afraid of going into the mines, and that's understandable, but there isn't anyways for a man go by himself in those conditions.
Otherways, it's totally mindless that they leave so easily their weapons behind them. For example, why the fuck do they leave the room of the mine where they killed Papa Hades, leting their M16 with the baïonette, and also the spear he used, and the axe, the mass... behind them, when they still are into the dark mines, they are hurted, desperate, afraid and they don't know how many monsters are still there???
O_O
Do someone have a good explanation about it?

Finally, the dialogues supposed to be funny aren't several times.
Very pee-poo humor, so many times heard and not anymore funny... or it could be if it was better written.

The monsters are so ugly, and disgusting that only this is a bit scary.

Anyways, it stays a good horror that I'll watch again and again with pleasure.

Halloween 2007,  R)
Halloween
A grrreaaat movie
With the child, it's just... waaw!
Strange to have seen him in a small caïd role in Hancock
10
H2: Halloween II 2009,  R)
H2: Halloween II
Soooo under the 1st Halloween of Mr Zombie!

I was really disappointed to see another kid than the excellent Daeg Faerch to play young Michael Myers.
If, for a reason or another, Daeg couldn't do the movie, they shouldn't have put scenes involving him; considering how the scenes are, I confirm there shouldn't have been those moments in the movie to make it be better.

I also found annoying and uninteresting to put Myer's' mother's ghost.
I mean, WTF??
It spoils the entire movie, more as she appears often.
Why?
Why to make this?
Just to give a role to Mrs Zombie? It seems, as it doesn't have any interest. If they wanted a role for her in this movie, they just should've not make her suicide in the 1st film, and that's it, instead of giving us boredom making her turn back as a ghost; and a ghost pushing her psychopath of a son to kill, like she was herself a murderer when alive.
Tsss, bullshits!

I think that without those things, it would've been a good movie; anyways, still really worse than the 1st one.

The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep 2007,  PG)
The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep
Touching story, with a cute creature, during the war.

A young boy find an egg (making me think a bit to Eragon's egg) and bring it back home.
The egg hatches. The boy tames and raises the "water horse", and makes it be his only friend. He tries to hide it, but don't succeed a long time.
In brief, this creature grow up, is freed in a loch, and becomes the so famous monster of the Loch Ness.

A nice interpratation of this legend, myth.

Very good!
Ron Perlman is an excellent actor, and Selma Blair is hot.
Raspoutine, the nazis, creatures from Hell, strange creatures fighting for Good, weird mix, but well shaked, it made a very good moment of watching.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Wo hu cang long)
Some of the almost flying scenes r just crazy!
0_0
When they run on the walls of buildings, and then jump on roofs. Or when the seem to fly on the top of the bamboos.
Wow!
Waw!
+, it has been good to discover the nice & cool young Zhang Ziyi.

Hostage
A great, excellent thriller with the best of the best, Bruce Willis.
Ben Foster is also very good, as the killer.
44
Bats 1999,  PG-13)
45
Yamakasi - Les samouraïs des temps modernes 2001,  Unrated)
Yamakasi - Les samouraïs des temps modernes
A greaaaat movie!
Those creazy frenchies (4 blacks, 2 asians and 1 white) climb to buildings without any security. They did it in life during years, before they met Kuc Besson who wrote them a movie.

It's amazingly crazy when you see some of the jumps they make, from roof tops to others.
And the script is good too, not only a thin pretext to see their acrobatics.

There aren't a lot of things we could do to ameliorate this film I think.

The music's great too, full of good rap songs.
46
Les fils du vent (Sons of the Wind) (The Great Challenge) (Yamakasi vs. Ong Bak) 2004,  PG-13)
Les fils du vent (Sons of the Wind) (The Great Challenge) (Yamakasi vs. Ong Bak)
A very good sequel, where our heroes left France for new adventures in Thaïland.
Some amazing jumps, acrobatics, fights also, on the bamboos' scaffold.
But I think the 1st one was just a bit better.
Anyways, very good movie.
47
Million Dollar Baby 2004,  PG-13)
Million Dollar Baby
1 of the best movies of Clint Eastwood, who deserved its oscars... like a lot of others Eastwwod movies deserved some.
A very moving story!
48
Blood Work 2002,  R)
49
The Descent 2005,  R)
The Descent
A bit under what expected
But a group of girls; coool!

50
The Cave 2005,  PG-13)
51
Dawn of the Dead 1978,  R)
Dawn of the Dead
The best of the original trilogy for me
52
Day of the Dead 1985,  Unrated)
Day of the Dead
Worst of all Romero's zombies flicks
53
Land of the Dead 2005,  R)
Land of the Dead
Not far of a masterpiece also.
Sadly, cast pbs!
Asia Argento save it.
54
Diary of the Dead 2007,  R)
Diary of the Dead
Ouch!

Really under Land and Dawn (both versions) of the Dead, for me.
But anyways a bit better than Night of the Living Dead and Day of the Dead.

A good thing is that I like movies made with a FPS mode of shooting, and that's cool that they start to be common.
Cloverfield, Doom (for the long amazing sequence shot like the games of the series), The Blair Witch Project, who's often named as a pioneer, a precursor of this style.
But there have been some others before; I thought to 1-2 another day, but I forgot them now.
Too bad...!

Contrary to Land of the Dead, - but as for the previous ones -, a entire cast of unknown actors and actresses.
Anyways, that doesn't impede some movies to be great, as all stars were totally unknown people when they began, logically. Almost all in fact, cause not all the childs of stars.
But in this case, if they aren't bad actors, they aren't excellent neither I think.
There are anyways some stars, as I discovered watching the bonuses.
Wes Craven, Stephen King, Quentin Tarantino, Guillermo Del Toro and Simon Pegg, who all voiced newsreaders.
A nice idea!

Otherways, the script isn't bad at all, just not as well as the ones I said above.
But there are anyways some very good scenes.
Interesting also to see some events on the security cams.

To conclude, I'm anyways, as usula with Romero, very excited, impatient to see Survival of the Dead, his 6th zombies' film in the series.
55
Dawn of the Dead 2004,  R)
Dawn of the Dead
Just, great!
Ving Rhames, excellent,as usual.
This version is really, but really different of the original 1. It's not really a remake of the George Romero's Dawn of the Dead.
The common points r mainly:
- Some people who didn't know each other before the zombie's pb meet in this desperate situation, and find together a refuge.
- The mall
- The survivors finally escape from the mall.
- The black cop as hero.

Almost everything else is different between these movies.

I own and love both movies, but prefer a bit this 1, even if there r also things making me prefer the old 1.
56
House of Wax 2005,  R)
House of Wax
Very good horror, although the presence of Crapy Hilton & Chad Dumb Murray.
57
Bandidas 2006,  PG-13)
Bandidas
A great western, full of action, humor, and sex-appeal of these 2 pretty actresses, Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz.
I think it's a shame that its average rating here is only 3/5. Come on people!
58
Night at the Museum 2006,  PG)
Night at the Museum
1 of the best comedies I ever saw.
59
Taxi 1998,  Unrated)
Taxi
A greaaaaaaat surprise was this movie.
Watched it maybe 5-6 or even 7 times.
The sequels are great too (apart the average 4th one), but the 1st is definitely the best 1.

Some amazing stunts with cars or scooters and motobikes.
Some great martial arts fights.
Some beautiful chases, full of impressive crashes.
And the dialogues are soooooo funny, soooo well written, by the excellent living legend Luc Besson (The 5th Element, The Messenger, Danny the Dog, Bandidas, Yamakasi are some of the movies he wrote, and also directed for the 2 firsts).

Easily a masterpiece in the action's comedies, the buddy movies.
60
Meet The Fockers 2004,  PG-13)
Meet The Fockers
The sequel is way better
61
Jeepers Creepers 2001,  R)
Jeepers Creepers
Disappointing!
Not freaking!
More boring!
62
Never Say Never Again 1983,  PG)
Never Say Never Again
A very good unofficial Bond movie.
Almost as good as the best official ones.

Some kind of remake of Thunderball. Some kind and not really a remake, cause it's very very different, and contains references, winks, to other Bond movies.

Cool to see Sean Connery playing once again the character who made him become the huge star he is, years after his last official Bond movie.
63
GoldenEye 1995,  PG-13)
GoldenEye
A greaaat movie!
Probably the best Bond till now.
I mean the best movie, cause the best actor is the 1st and unique, Sean Connery.
The beginning, in the dam is excellent. I love when he's running on the great wall of it.
And when he escapes, jumping of a cliff riding a motorbike, go into the empty-falling plane and raises it just before crashing.
This scene is enormous!
Famke "Xenia Onatop" Janssen was a good choice to play the bad girl.
64
Tomorrow Never Dies 1997,  PG-13)
Tomorrow Never Dies
Very sad I am when I see the average rating here is only 3.
It's 1 of the best Bond, even if I'll not put it in my top 5.

This movie use a lot of the elements making a Bond being a Bond and not an action movie like so many others.
On that point it's way more faithful to the Fleming's universe than Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, and so, it's a shame that they have better ratings on Flix.
Also cause Tomorrow Never Dies had an actor who knows how to act and looking like Bond, not like a model for underwears, if you know who I mean.

Good characters, awful villains, a lot of great action (for example the chase on motorbike in the chinese city, and the jump above the helicopter), very funny dialogues, beautiful landscapes and sets, good music, great technologies, good ending full of danger and desperate situations... all we want in a 007 movie, and a lot of the things missing in the 2 last movies.
Without forgetting the gadgets. Talking of these, the car is definitely the best (with the furtive invisible car of Die Another Day). The fact it's radiocommanded is an excellent idea.

Q is funny, as usual, when he's desperate about James' attitude.
We really miss this great character played by an excellent actor, sadly deceased 10 years ago, already...
:(
It was his last but 1 Bond's movie.
RIP Desmond!
65
Die Another Day 2002,  PG-13)
Die Another Day
1 of the best 007's movies, easily.
Even 1 of the best movies ever.
Pierce is pretty good.
Rosamund Pike is beautiful.
Fun to see Madonna as the fencing teacher.
Some great scenes, like the chase in hovercrafts on the way full of mines, or the chase in cars on the frozen lake and into the ice palace.
Funny was the arrival of Bond in wet pyjama in the hotel.

There r some references to another Bond movie (Diamonds are forever) in this one, like the diamonds, the hovercraft, the laser's weapon on the satellite, and the bad guy changing face and using another name.
66
Ocean's Eleven 2001,  PG-13)
Ocean's Eleven
12 is the best
13th the worst
Anyway, I'm impatient for the 14th, but sadly, without Bernie Mac

Resident Evil 2002,  R)

Resident Evil: Extinction 2007,  R)
Resident Evil: Extinction
Best of the trilogy!
Some great scenes like the crows in the desert and the battle against clones.
I own the 12 Resident Evil games, and read 4 of the 9 books written til now, and so, I really regrett that they said they'll not make a new movie; even if they'll probably change their mind 1 day, it could be in a lot of years, and it's sad, when so many kind of creatures of the games hasn't been used in the 1st trilogy.
70
Biohazard: Degeneration (Resident Evil: Degeneration) 2008,  R)
Biohazard: Degeneration (Resident Evil: Degeneration)
Very good, but I've been a bit disappointed.

I like the 3 movies, love the games, like some novels of RE that I read...
So, as a great fan of the Resident Evil's franchise, maybe I expected too much of this animation, and so, could only be disappointed...

The kinematics in the games are so beautiful sometimes that I expected an animation of Resident Evil since years, and here it is.
Good!
Specially about the graphics, who are very well done; but sadly the style is a bit different of the games' kinematics I think.
But anyways, the problem of this film, for me, was more the script.
It's not bad, not at all, but not enough worked, thinked, in my opinion.

Anyways, I don't regret to have bought it, cause it's a good entertainement.
So, I still hope a sequel to it; like one to the non-animation movies.

Friday the 13th, Part V - A New Beginning
Not bad!

But really not 1 of the best Friday the 13th movies.
We don't understand, really know, if it's Jason Voorhees who kills or not.
The characters are annoying, so, we don't wanna them to survive.
77
Friday the 13th, Part VI - Jason Lives 1986,  R)
Friday the 13th, Part VI - Jason Lives
I still didn't see all of the Friday the 13th (although I am Jason Voorhees; but we don't watch what we live; do we? ;) ), but almost all, and this one was the worst; uncounting Freddy vs Jason who disappointed me a lot; contrary to the excellent Aliens vs Predator. But AvP 2 is really less good.

It's a pretty good film anyways, cause of the immortal serial killer we love, and so many ingredients of the series, but they anyways fall a bit asleep on their laurels writing this script.

I've been disappointed by the fact they changed Crystal Lake to Forest Green, but it's clearly understandable as it's to try to clean the name of the city of its awful story, reputation.
And they anyways very often call it Crystal lake all along the movie.

But we get what we want, a lot of deaths (18 on this one in only 90 minutes, wow) by so many different ways, so, a lot of suspense, and shot in beautiful places in forests, so, it's clearly not a movie to miss; at least if, like me, you like to see an entire series, although not all movies can be great.
Otherways, if you aren't a great fan of Jason, there are dozens of better horror movies than this one.

102
Les 11 commandements (The 11 Commandments) 2004,  Unrated)
Les 11 commandements (The 11 Commandments)
The french Jackass(es) aren't as good as the american ones...

but they anyways are able to rule too.
Specially their leader, Michaël Youn, 1 of my favourite artists.
In fact, there aren't only 11 but 15 commandments (so, 15 stupid crazy dangerous, stinky, and/or great scenes, ideas to entertain us risking their health and liberty; and even more as there of course are some small scenes of transition that don't count as commandments, without forgetting the deleted ones, with which they made a bonus DVD counting 11 other commandments.
And they have been stupid making their choices, cause some of those are really funnier than some they kept for the movie, and so, they shoul'd've switched.

I anyways bought the DVD after I rated it 5/5 having seen it on theatre, but I loughed really lessed when I rewatched it some years ago, and again less last night, so, I edited my rating.

Oh, and about Jackass, Jackass 3D, of last year, was disappointing too for me, and I also rated it 3,5.

Apart movies, Youn is even better with the bands he created, and specially The Bratisla Boys and the last one, the rap band Fatal Bazooka, which made him direct his 1st film last year, Fatal, telling the story of this rapper/character he created.
A pretty good movie too.

The Day After Tomorrow
I love that genre of movies!
And also N-Y!

Some great images, f-x.
I love the twisters, the waves, the fast glaciation, the huge hailstones, the wolves...

The immigration, the crossing of Rio Grande in the opposite side of usual is an excellent idea.

Ong-Bak (Ong Bak: Muay Thai Warrior) 2005,  PG-13)
Ong-Bak (Ong Bak: Muay Thai Warrior)
A greaaaat movie, introducing to the public a martial art known only by a few people out of Thaïland, I nammed the Muay Thaï.
It's very very impressive!
Very original and different, theses fights using more knees and elbows than fists and feet.
Some amazing stunts, made without any rope or special effect r in this crazy movie.

I'd like to see the sequel, but as it'll never come to theatres here, I'll have to wait the DVD.
116
The Protector (Tom yum goong) (Warrior King) 2006,  R)
The Protector (Tom yum goong) (Warrior King)
A great martial arts movie.
It's rare to see a thaï movie; when u see this 1, or the previous with Tony Jaa, directed by Prachya Pinkaew (Ong-Bak: The Thaï Warrior), u regret that it's so rare.
The art here is called Muay Thaï. It changes of the kung-fu, and so, is refreshing. It's also fucking impressive!

Eraser 1996,  R)
Eraser
Probably the best Schwagoverzeneggator (XD) movie!
Clearly 1 of the best actioners ever!

Not far of the level of the best movie of all the times, Die Hard (the 1st one of course).
A veeeery good action movie, with a great technological weapon, making this film be different of so much other actioners.

Just seen for the 4th or 5th time, but the 1st time in years. Yes, when you own 600 movies, watch hundreds on TV each year, and around 100 on theatres (and only cause an huge part you wanna see never come your place, otherwise, I'd go even way more on theatres), although you love this movie and own it, you can't watch it every month nor year.
Seen 4-5 times so, but in 14 years, as the 1st time was when it came out, in 1996. So, that doesn't make so much.

Disappointed I am seeing that only 34% of the critics, and 43% of Flix users liked it.
Go buy some tastes people, seriously!
Anyways... definitely put it on top of you must see list, if you never saw it and are a fan of great action movies and/or of Schagoverzeneggator.
;)

L'Enquête Corse 2004,  Unrated)
L'Enquête Corse
1 of the best comedies ever of the great Jean Reno, where he teams with the excellent Christian Clavier, with who he made so many comedies, like 1 of the best ever, Just Visiting.

Sometimes in this movie, you can't stop laughing, and that's useful, in our awful and sad world.

Legionnaire
1 of the best Van Damme's movies I saw I think.

Another (maybe THE best) would be The Quest.
I also love Universal Soldiers and Street Fighter, liked Double Team, Timecop and several others in fact.

It's stupid that it came only in video. It deserved to be seen on the big screen.

It's also always strange, fun, to see we saw some actors way before we thought we discovered them.
In this case, I'm saying this about Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, that I really discovered with his Mr. Eko's role in Lost, when I in fact saw him before in this film, Legionnaire, and in:
Congo
Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls
The Mummy Returns
The Bourne Identity

The Fifth Element 1997,  PG-13)
The Fifth Element
An excellent sci-fi, by 1 of my masters, Luc Besson.
With the best ever, Bruce Willis!

1 of the best sci-fi movies I ever saw, with, of course, the Star Wars sexalogy or War of the Worlds, between else.

There are so many wonderfuly funny dialogues and situations (most of them in the 2d part of the movie) that you can't watch it without laughing; apart maybe if you lost your instructions for use of the laughter, or are the most boring people who ever lived.

Effects, images are beautiful (even if 1997 is the prehistory for special effects, and so, that the film would be very different if made nowadays), lighting your face, giving you energy, peps...

The sets, costumes, musics, and of course, the amazingly talented casting, and the designs of an whole future world, full of inventivity, original things, objects, full of great details, make this movie be a wonderfully beautiful entertainement; great hours to pass.
And it never gets old, if you are honest, you'll admitt it, understand it.

Leeloo and Korben are one of the loveliest couples of cinema's history, making us, the bachelors, cry of emotion 1 second.
The fact they are marvelously played by Bruce and Milla increase this feeling of course.

All the roles (till the 3rd ones) are wonderfully written, have funny or at least interesting quotes, all this written by 1 of my masters, Luc Besson, who also directed it.
For the rare ones who don't really see who he is, just check his work (as director, scriptwriter, producer, and almost all the jobs in the movie industry) here and/or on Imdb.com.
Apart all this, he also created the giant of cinema's industry, Europa.
Just a few examples:
He wrote and produced Danny the Dog, Bandidas, Revolver, Taken, The Transporter (1, 2 & 3), Taxi (1, 2, 3 &4; if you saw its remake, New York Taxi, you better watch Taxi 1 & 2; those are great action comedies), Kiss of the Dragon, District 13 (and its sequel, Ultimatum) Crimson Rivers (1 and 2), The Dancer...
He wrote and directed and produced The Big Blue, Nikita, Léon (The Professional), Arthur and the Invisibles (2 sequels soon), and Joan of Arc and The Fifth Element, staring his wife at this time, Milla Jovovich.
He also coproduced Ong-Bak (The Thai Warrior), Tom Yum Goong (The Protector), The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (1st director's job of Tommy Lee Jones), High Tension, Frontier(s) Home [the ecologist movie who's been shown in 150 countries on big screens (for example under the Eiffel tower, in Central Park, in the Red Place of Moscow, in Picadilly Circus...), and came the same day on DVD and theatres, last june]...

A good surprise!
(Even if a good film starring my hero never is a surprise in fact).

I dislike Billy Bob, but he anyways didn't annoy me at all in this movie.
I maybe even have been surprised by him.
I anyways can't understand how Angelina Jolie can have been married 3 years with him.
Neither I understand how she can have loved some others of her ex.
Brad is far away to be perfect (as every human is), but anyways, it's like she passed from toads to the prince.
Lmfao
XD

Otherways, the very talented and pretty Cate Blanchett (and the beautiful January Jones too) make the feminine cast be a bit under the masculine one, although the so powerful in all the ways BW.

The story is anyway hard to follow, catch, by moments.
So, I saw it alone in theatre, but when I bought it on DVD and showed it to my mother, she asked me explainations several times, although sh'e pretty intelligent.
But as people often complain about the movies missing a complex scripts, they should be happy with this one.
I love those complex movies (like the Matrix series for example), but I love as much some films where the script is a pretext to link the fights.
No matter, during the time I'm entertained!

Sudden Impact
The worst (by far) of the series.
I was really annoyed by this revenge story and the missing of morality in it.
I'm far away to be a moralizer like for example too many of our american friends (and more generally, you the believers), and I love over everything some movies with way less moral and tons more physical & psychological violences, but in this case, it bored me and even disgusted me.
Not talking of the crime committed by the bad guys, but the ones committed by the victim, in the name of revenge, and the fact she isn't at all condamned for all those murders.
And this each 3-4 times I saw it; cause yes, I anways watched it that much in years and years.

The Enforcer 1976,  R)

The Jackal 1997,  R)
The Jackal
An underrated hitman story!

1 of the so numerous remakes Hollywood offers us since ages.
Some are better than the originals (Halloween, sooooo better).
Some are worse (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, to stay in the horror genre, sooo worse than the 1974's one).
Some are more or less as well even if really different (Dawn of the Dead; even if I maybe prefer just a bit the new one).
And for some we dunno, as we didn't see the original.
Sometimes we really wanna see it (The Hills Have Eyes, The Day the Earth Stood Still... for me).
And sometimes not specially, like for this one or The Taking of Pelham 123 for me; although I loved the remake, adn really like this Jackal too.

Sadly with the so bad actor and ugly Richard Gere, but hopefully BW saves it.
When you say:
"A movie with BW and RG, it sounds so ridiculous, so stupid, that I can't believe a director dared, thought it could be a good idea.
Anyways, the script is good enough, and the other elemnets making this movie too, for it stays a pretty good thriller.

I have it on video, but as I own 500 movies, and also as I didn't have any videorecorder working since a lot of years, I didn't watch it since an eternity, and miss it.
But some weeks ago, a friend gave me his old one (as another friend did years ago, but it worked only a few months during), so, I'm happy, I'll finally be able to watch it (and hundreds others).
The pb is that I still didn't watch around 40 DVDs I bought last months (since more than a year ago) and didn't watch, even if some are movies I loved on theatres last years, and some are movies I wanna see since so much time.
I don't find the time to watch movies often, and that kills me.
I anyways go 1-2 time(s) by week to theatre, and watch 1 to 5-6-7 movies by week on TV.
So, I'm a filmvore!
Definitely!

Wow!
Why did I tell my life as anyone cares about?
Dunno!
Anyways, I assume, and even say **** to the unhappy ones.
lol

Pretty good actionner, with a master of the genre, Seagal.

RRRrrrr!!!
A very funny, totally mindless prehistorical comedy, by a great TV show's group, composed of:
Jean-Paul Rouve (very good and funny), Marina Foïs (beautiful) Pef, Maurice Barthélémy, Pascal Vincent and Elise Larnicol.

They met the great Alain Chabat (Caesar in, and director of Astérix and Obélix: Mission Cleopatra), when he worked years before them for the same channel, and wrote the script with him, and asked him to direct it.

With also a lot of stars for lil roles or cameos, like the unique Gerard Depardieu, and Jean Rochefort, the rapper Joey Starr, or also the humorist and director Valérie Lemercier.

This movie is totally without any sense, but soooo funny that you laugh your ass off.

Alone in the Dark 2005,  R)
Alone in the Dark
Interesting adaptation!

I love the only Alone in the Dark game I own, on PS 1.
It's a very good survival horror game, in a genre where apart it and the Resident Evil series, we really are missing options.
I anyways also bought Alone in the Dark 5, the last one, but didn't already start it, even if I'm impatient to play it siince 1 & 1/2 year, when I 1st heard of it.

SO, about the movie, the underrated Christian Slater is a very good choice.
Tara Reid and Stephen Dorff are interesting too.

Some very impressive and well directed and with great effects scenes, like the one with the bullet in slow motion through the ice cube to the bad guy.
And of course the scenes with the creatures; especially the massive attack from the woods. So many monsters and militaries; and guess who win? I'll not tell you.
;)

So, the creatures are cool, but as for Resident Evil movies (even it's really better with those), it misses some different creatures from the games.

I'm impatient to see the sequel, to discover what kind of monster they added, but sadly, i'm sure it'll never come to theatres. Anyway, DVD...

My Bloody Valentine
A pretty good serial killer story!

A not enough known serial killer movie of the 80's, who could've made a series like a lot others of this period; Friday the 13th, Halloween, Elm Street, Child's Play, Texas Chainsaw...
But thanks to the remake, it'll be discovered by some fans of the remake wanting to watch the old one.
I'm personnally pretty excited to see the remake, specially in 3D. Hope it'll come to me.

The character has everything to be the serial killer of a series of slashers.
A sad bad past, a great mask (gaz mask), good weapons...
And like in Scream for example, he's friend with his victims.

Otherways, the mines are a good set for the action; even very good.
And the city and the rooms out of the mine are excellent too.
Very good choice for a thriller, cause those places can easily be scary.

The good thing is that I totally forgot who was the killer between the 2 times I watched my DVD, so, nothing was spoilt.

An hilarious comedy!
1 of the best french comedies ever.
Those 3 guys, Les Inconnus (Didier Bourdon, Pascal Legitimus & Bernard Campan) made sketches on TV, and in shows in theatres during years, before to make their 1st movie, this 1, Les Trois Frères.
They wrote, directed it and played the main roles.
For their 1st try, they succeed to make almost a masterpiece. This movie is now cult. I laughed a lot each time I watched it again.
It's better (surely more funny), to see it in french, the original version, cause there r a lot of games of words, so, like every time with this kind of humor, u can't translate it exactly.

An excellent thriller/horror with awful sharks.

Kerd ma lui (Born to Fight)
A good martial arts film!

This movie, directed by the martial arts choreographer of Ong-Bak, and produced by its director is a very good moment to pass.

A lot of action, some amazingly dangerous stunts, some explosions, some very impressive moves, choreographies of fights original by moments, all those things make this movie be interesting to watch.

The script isn't the most original, interesting. It's near a lot of action movies we saw previously, and so, more a pretext for fights than everything else.
But anyways, that's what we want, what we expect.
With this kind of films, we don't want to have a crazy story, but more to see 90 to 120 minuts of stunts and martial arts.
So, considering that fact, this movie is clearly a success.

Thaïland give us some very good movies of this kind since a few years, thanks to the success of Ong-Bak a few years ago.
The thaï style is interesting, as the muay thaï is a beautiful way of fight, changing of the chinese and japanese martial arts; who stay cool anyways, but very less original for us, non-asian people.

A veeeery good movie in a genre missing some great things; the spy thrillers.

For example, recently, Eagle Eye really failed, even if it isn't that bad.

Michael Douglas made a lot of good movies, and also some bad ones, as all actors and actresses. But this 1 is probably his best one for me.

A great inquiry by the main suspect of a plot against the president of the United States of America.

Asterix at the Olympic Games (Asterix aux jeux olympiques)
A good comedy!

Funny!
I regret anyways that it wasn't a movie of Astérix and Obélix, but of Alafolix and Brutus.
Those characters who should've been supporting characters (as they even don't exist in the comic books of Astérix) are the heroes of this movie.

I also find bad a part of the cast who are celebrities, but not at all actors. So, as they dunno how to play comedy, they spoil a bit the film.

This movie is better than the 1st one, but worse than the 2d one.
I hope anyways to see a new movie, but with only good actors, a better script, professional directors, and with Astérix and Obélix for heroes.

A good horror thriller!

Some kind of mix between Titanic, Poseidon, Alien, Virus (1999) and Abyss. Definitely a good mix!

The creature, the monster is gorgeous, splendid!

Changeling 2008,  R)
Changeling
A beautiful movie by the master Clint Eastwood, from a true sad story.
The most touching movie I saw since years.
My eyes were wet a few times.

Angelina is beautiful and great, and she deserves prices for this job. I hope she'll at least be nominated for the Oscars. Otherways, it'll be one of the biggest shame of history for the Academy. A huge forgetting, mistake.

The characters of the Changeling are developed in a very interesting way.
You love with passion the good ones, and hate with the same passion the others.
It's interesting when you know they are (or were) real people.

I dislike the 20's touch. The style of their clothes, cars, objects like phones, or the architecture.
But seeing this movie, I almost really liked these, cause the almost perfection of the film made me like everything in; or almost.

This is terrible to see how a captain of police could send someone in an institution so easily, just cause that person could disturb him.
And terrible also how they treated people in those institutions.
Cool to see that this story made things change.
At least in USA, cause in countries like Russia, they still use institutions to get rid of people who disagree with the russian politic. And same in several other countries.

This story of a serial killer who kidnapped young boys to kill them is awful, and we don't really understand his motive. He was probably just a crazy son of a bitch.

Awful also to stay in the doubt at the end, asking us if Angelina's son is still alive or not.

Clint very rarely disappointed me as an actor or director. This is definitely NOT 1 of these rare occasions. He's a living god in his work. Let's hope he'll continue a lot of years more to make movies; also as an actor I hope.

The Day the Earth Stood Still 2008,  PG-13)
The Day the Earth Stood Still
A greaaat sci-fi to finish the year!
Even if I didn't see the original 1, I can say:
This is how remakes should be done every time.

I loved all the powers of Keanu Reeves. He's definitely a good actor, and this is also a power.
Lol
Jennifer Connely is also good, and pretty.
I liked to discover the son of 1 of the best actors ever, Jaden Smith, son of Will of course.

Spheres are really mysterious, interesting, kinda freaking too. It's excellent that they are made to be used, -among others-, as Noah's arks.

The bio-engineering "robot" is great too, with his power of protection. It's also mysterious and impressive. And waw, what a great surprise when we see how it's made. It's an excellent idea, those metalic but living insects who eat all metal to create new "brothers", and enlarge the cloud, til it's soooo huge and powerful, and scary.

Yippie-kay-yay black and whiter!

lol
A really good movie of those amazing crazy dudes, I named Laurel and Hardy.
Didn't see it (and any of theirs) since ages.
That's why I bought this 1 and A Chump at Oxford on DVD some weeks ago.
I still need to watch the other, that maybe I already saw, like this one.
Soon!
But I still have around 40 DVDs I didn't watch since I bought them; even if a lot are movies I saw 1 or several times already.

On the DVD, there are the original and a colorised version.
But no way for me for the color on L&H or Chaplin's movie.
Pity!
It makes me mad they did this horror; but in fact, if it makes some people who had never watched a film in black and white, watch it, then, it's a victory I guess.
Anyways, I didn't hesitate a semi second before to choose.
And the next time I'll watch it, it'll always be in B&W.
Just by curiosity, I checked the color version. It clearly confirmed my fears and my wishes to never watch more than 10 seconds like this.

Some unforgetable gags all along the movie, who had of course been so imitated, copied, used since.
So, someone stupid would say it's all but original, seeing it. Only being senseless we could say it, as it was contrary totally original at the times.

I'd like to see soe of their shorts again too, as I think they are even better; that's also the opinion of a good friend.
I didn't see them since so many years that I can't really say.
I anyways saw a DVD with 6 shorts for a very low price, so, I'll clearly buy it soon.

I didn't remember at all that Laurel was the scapegoat of Hardy. He always hit him with his fists; on the shoulder most of the time.
So, that make us laugh more when Laurel takes his revenge, making Hardy fall for example, cause we think he deserves it.

So, to resume, run for it!

The Departed 2006,  R)
The Departed
I can call it a masterpiece!

It widely deserved the oscars it wons. And Leonardo could've had his 1st Oscar for it.

This movie is 1 million times better than the chinese film (infernal Affairs) a remake of which it is.

A sometimes very violent (psychologically and physically) dive inside the organized crime.

Jack Nicholson is good, in the role of the leader of the organized crime.
Leonardo DiCaprio too, in the role of the infiltrated cop.
The supporting roles are also well played by Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen, Anthony Anderson, Alec Baldwin and the girl, Very Farmiga.
Even Matt Damon that I don't really like is pretty interesting in his criminal infiltrated in the police role.

Sad that so many of the main characters die at the end (even if it's not that sad for 1-2 of them).
The chinese movie has had 2 sequels, so, considering that The Departed is so better, I'd like to see a sequel, but it's hard, considering almost all the characters died.

A great war movie!

Very touching, even if not that much, compared to Benjamin Button, Changeling, and Seven Pounds for the last months.

And not totally a war movie, even if all the characters are militaries, and some are very famous awful nazies, like Hitler, Himmler, Goebbels, Göring or Rommel.
Even also if we see a short battle seen.
But otherways, only 1 gunfight, but this doesn't make a movie be a war movie of course. Talking about this fight, it made me think to the one of Star Wars: A New Hope. I dunno if it was wanted, but that's the result.
So, not really a war movie, but more a political, historical movie.
Anyways, great true story.

If only he succeeded, history would've been changed.
Yes, there were also a lot of heroes and resistants in the german side, between the nazies themself. Sad that even them didn't succeed to free the world from 1 of its worst human-monsters.

I knew only the bases of this story, so, I've been very much interested to know all details, to discover it.
Tom in one of his best roles, if it isn't the best.

Not an happy ending at all, but hopefully in this case, cause it means they didn't transform the reality for the movie.
And I like when movies tell before or during the credits what happened to all the characters.

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra
Amazing!

I so loved to play with my tens of G.I. Joes of all kinds as a child and teen, that I was afraid to be disappointed by the movie.
I must admitt that 1 part of the casting (Tatum 1st) made me be afraid of the bad movie.
And also a lot of ancient adaptations; not of G.I. Joe, cause I didn't see the previous movies, but of other things.

Phew, they succeeded to make a great film, although it'd have been better with a better cast.

Better than the last "toy's" adaptation, Transformers... even if it was anyways very good too.

Of course, amazing effects!
Ten at least on each image.
But people who would dare to say that it's a weak script just to justify effects would be lyers; or not knowing anything to the scriptwriter's job.
As I'm one, I know what I say.
You can dislike the script of it, but not pretend it's not well written.
It's pretty complex, hard to catch at the beginning, but very interesting, and making me be so impatient about the sequel.
Seeing the end, the sequel is already almost ready.

Even if it's funny to say seriously talking about laughing that much.
Lol

From the creators of Shrek, Madagascar, or Kung-Fu Panda (a bit less funny than the others), we waited, expected a lot. They succeeded not to disappoint us at all.
We don't pass more than 2 minutes in a row without laughing, during the 94 minutes it lasts.

All monsters are totally lovable, pleasant, even if they are ugly monsters (apart Ginormica, of course), after all.
But finally, we find them some kind of cute, as they are so nice, touching, and aesthetics in some ways.

My fav is anyways B.O.B.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
A beautiful touching kind of fairy tale.

The film who made me cry the most out of the thousands and thousands I saw. And I'm not at all ashamed to say it; maybe even a bit proud.
Lol

A great script, some beautiful places, very good make-ups, great interpratations, nice music, very good characters, all this make it deserves its 13 nominations, and I hope it'll win a lot of Oscars.
For example I hope Brad will finally win his 1st one, and, for the 1st time of history (if I'm right), a couple can win both best leading role Oscars.
I wish Angelina will win her 2d one, cause she's great in the beautiful Changeling, who is shamefuly not enough nominated at all. For example, it misses best director, even if Cint won it in 2003 and 04, 2 years in a row, for Mystic and Million.

So, a great idea of story, and not at all too long, even with its 2h43 without any interlude. Not too long cause even if there isn't action every time, the dialogues are excellent, and the story so fun, moving, well thinked, that I was surprised when it finished.

So, please you the 3500 people who vote for the academy awards, be nice giving it the numerous Oscars it deserves, way more than most of the other nominees, even if I didn't see a lot of them.

A very good Chan's movie that I just discovered.

In this film, (reminding Fast & Furious series by moments; and it's not inspired by, as it's older than the 1st Fast &), Jackie shows some of the best choreopgraphies of fights that he never realized; and I say this having seen tens of movies with him, whom I like very much.

Captivity
Finally seen!

Seeing the beginning, I started to regret to have bought it; although I had it for only 1,5 $, NEW, on the web.

I partially bought it for the beautiful and talented Elisha, that I, - like almost everybody knowing her -, discovered in the great series 24, but then loved in this genre, watching the excellent remake (although it sadly stars the useless and without any trace of talent nor charisma Paris Hilton and Chad Michael Murray; or Ken and Barbie, if you want their official names) of The House of Wax.
And so, it's not at all her fault if I regretted this in the beginning.

Of course, nobody can pretend he didn't think to Saw, nor Hostel or the good but most violent psychologically film ever (making Saw and Hostel series seem for childs when you compare), I'm talking of the french film, Martyrs.

Apart Elisha, I like Pruitt Taylor Vince, who often played killers (for example in the interesting Identity) and who's credible and good at this.

I thought it was a joke when I saw it was from Roland Joffé.
LMFAO
I mean, this guy made The Mission, City of Joy and Vatel. Very different movies (even if I didn't see The City of Joy), but all opposite to a film like Captivity.
So, 1 of the director I'd never have imagined making a "Saw-like". And it's at 62 years old that he make his 1st horror movie, and he starts with an extremist one... LOL
But anyways, I like that fact.

I didn't write any review since a long time, although I rated hundreds of movies (and some really better than this one) last weeks, but I'm very inspired now.

CAUTION, SPOILERS:

Anyways, then, I found it better and better, till a good happy ending, like I love them; and expected, and guessed I'll see... even if horror is a genre where you often see not really happy ending, with the killer still alive, and that, you must admit you love, in this genre; but not for every horror, and so, I'm happy we are sure both the killers die here.

Now, I must say I guessed immediately that Gary was an accomplice of the murderer.
And I almost never doubted, not even when the serial killer extracts him a tooth.
I thought that those kind of monsters are able of monstruous things to psychologically torture their victims, even to bear atrocious sufferings... but doesn't he use a fake tooth in that case? At least I hope (I mean, of course it's a fake, but is it supposed to be fake inside the movie or not?), considering the character doesn't even scream a minimum, as if be torn away a tooth without anesthesia was a sinecure.
Even with a good anesthesia it's a bit of pain (I know what I say, considering I lived it with 7-8 of my teeth in my life), so, without... I guess you could lose consciousness.
Talking about it, i't sooo annoying and making the film lose all its credibility when actors don't scream enough, don't seem enough to suffer.
HELL!

END OF SPOILERS!

So, yes, this movie is pretty predictable, yes it's far away of the level of the best Saw movies, yes the start is seen and not nice, yes, the ending isn't a great surprise, no, it's never really scary, but anyways, although almost all my friends gave really worse ratings than I (starting with 2 only 1 star), I don't care, I'm not ashamed to rate it 4, like the ones who killed it don't have to be ashamed.
Each one his own tastes, and we all must respect that... or leave sites like Flix; and restart our education too.
So, seeing those ratings, I hesitated to put less (but not less than 3,5 anyways) but Hell no, it deserves this 4 and I don't need to say what I have to tell to the ones who should contradict me.
Lol

Oh, I just watched the alternate ending... WAW!

To conclude, prefer some Saw, Friday the 13th or Hostel and others, but don't reject this one anyways.

Damned, more than an half hour to write this... Inspiration, some checkings... anyways...

The end!

The Devil's Rejects
Ouch!
Gory f***ing great!

Finally seen!
10 times better than House of 1000 Corpses and more or less as well as Zombie's Halloween.

Rob use amazing actors who all are so freaking, even in tuxedo and without any horrible make-up.
All have "faces" as we say. Meaning faces who hypnotise you, that you can't forget, faces of people with experience, talent, and looks.
I for example really like Ken Foree (since Dawn of the Dead, Romero's version, so, in 1978) and Danny Trejo.
Sheri Moon is sexy, the kind of girl you give god without confession (like the expression says, even if I'm not a believer). So, that makes her be kinda more scary than Bill Moseley, Danny, Ken or Sid Haig and William Forsythe.

This movie is some kind of mix between:
The Hitcher, Joy Ride, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Hills Have Eyes, Gacy, Jeepers Creepers and some others.
Its more or less as good as Texas and Hills, and better than all the others.
So, a damned good mix it is!

I must admitt that I love the ending, between else.
I couldn't support that they all survive, even if that would mean a sequel with them, and that'd be excellent of course.
But when the sherif is killed and they are all saved, I was disgusted.
Maybe he deserved to die too, as he becomes almost as crazy dangerous as them. But it was a cold blood revenge for him, so, it's far away to be as monstruous as all this monsters' family did.

Very classical to make us almost have pity for those barbarian rapers and murderers and to give the cop the bad role.
But I have to confess that I was laughing in some moments when he tortures them; which I never did when they did it to their poor victims.
This movie make think that the cop is right. The only way to stop these people is to become like them, to hunt them and not just chase, and it's almost impossible to imagine to quietly arrest them and let them live in jail till they escape and start again.
When you act without any humanity, like they do, you know what's waiting you, what you'll get, and you must assume to be shot like a deer by hunters.
In life, you get what you give. Or at least, it should be more often the case.
But badness is so more powerful that it wins, most of the time.

Anyways, near a masterpiece is this film.

A good "squeakuel"!

As fun, cute and original as the 1st one; less the surprise naturally.
I liked the references, the winks, the quotes coming from movies that are the opposite of this one.
For example Alvin, during the football match, quoting (in fact almost to be precise) Hannibal Lecter:
"- I'd like to eat her liver with some fava beans and a nice bottle of Chianti."
To add the Chipettes was a good idea to refresh the concept.
And lol @ all that happens to the awful ass**** Ian is.
David Cross is a pretty good actor, as are the ones who don't hesitate to make crazy things, to ruin their image, to create funny scenes, make people laugh of them as well as laugh of the rest.
"Chuck Bartowski" and "Mrs McCluskey" were pretty good choices for those roles they play.

As usual, Clint rules!

A very moving story [as there are so many since a few months; like Changeling (already from him), Seven Pounds, or Benjamin Buton. All those made me cry, more or less. About this, Button is the recordman, clearly.], involving asian people, like the last movies of Eastwood. Not Changeling, but the average Flags of our Fathers, and the wonderful Letter from Iwo Jima.

In this one, you cry a bit at the end, but not that much, but you laugh a lot of times during the movie, so, it can't be considered totally as a drama, even if it's surely a dramatic story, full of violence from shitty gangs.
Assholes who don't have anything else to do in life than making good people suffer, physically and psychologically.
In a few words, weak spirits in bodies of brutes.

I hoped a better ending, but at least, it's definitely not an Hollywood's happy ending, and that's cool, cause in life, things never finish well.
Bad will always win against good, no matter if bad people are way less many. Cause as they don't have any limits, as they use all weapons (and also psychological torture), how could they lose?? No way!

Those asian actors play well, and the young girl, neighbour of the hero, is very cute.
It changes to see an asian gang, instead of so much seen (cause surely way more present in USA) black or latino gangs; that we anyways see a bit in Gran Torino.

Also the hero's awful family made me think to Maggie "Hilary Swank" Fitzgerald's one in Million Dollar Baby. I'm sure Eastwood thought to them, creating Gran Torino.

Hope that Clint Eastwood will live and make movie for at least 20 years more. He'll be near a century old then, but no problem, as there's a famous spanish (at least with a spanish name that I can't remember) director who made a new movie some times ago, aged of 100 years.

Seven Pounds
Already 1 of the best movies of 2009.

And 1 of the best Will Smith movies.

Cast very interesting, with the good Rosario, and the not enough used Woody, and the not enough known Barry Pepper.
They all really know how to play, and deserve to be more famous, instead of some others.

It have been a very long time (years) since I didn't cry that much watching a movie.
Changeling made me cry some months ago, but far away of that much.
1 of the best drama ever I think.

The story is well written. The script isn't simple at all. It's even really thinked, full of new developments.

Amazing story of heart generosity. Also a story of huge despairs.

Edit, the 28th of july 2011:
I add this now that I rewatched the movie:

A drama of an abyssal intensity!
I must lose seven pounds in tears every time I watch it.
Smith at the top of its art!

Not 5/5 because there are details which sadden me, crumple me, but it's really to be pernickety, so much there is not much to criticize on this jewel of the 7th art.

And the way it is built, all these bricks which are linked some in the others to form a complex puzzle of which we seized all the subtleties as one goes along, where we say ourselves:
" Oh yeaaaah, okaaaay, I understand, it's for that that this that that that blablabli that blablabla... "
Anyhow, you understand what I mean!
:D
Non-stop revelations, things which you did not expect and which make that the scenario is predictable in no way and puts you height the view.

In brief, a small delight of emotions aggravated!

The Green Mile
John Coffey, like the drink, only not spelled the same.
What takes place in the block E does not go out of the block E.
Sublimate fantastico-dramatic tale nevertheless haloed with humor.

Magnificent score (as Thomas Newman knows how to make them, see Erin Brockovich or American Beauty for ex.) and luxury cast (mainly Michael Clarke Duncan at the top of his art, which widely deserved its nomination to the best supporting role Oscar) adding what's needed to make this movie be a small masterpiece.

My favorite adaptation of a Stephen King's book, and, what's more important, revealing, it's that it's also the favorite adaptation of the master himself of 1 of his books; knowing that there has been not far from 100 movies made from his work, excuse for the little.

Even if happy ending can tend to give me the nausea, there is sometimes on the contrary, where I missed it, like here. A drama without concession up to the end. I would have liked at least that he'd be acquitted (and Billy the kid n°2 convicted) after his death, to clean his honor.
Well, too bad...

Kevin Costner is way too rare these lasts years.
+, Ashton is really cool!
He's great in the excellent series, That's 70's Show.

Edit:
Finally seen! Bought and seen!
Although it's not a comedy, it's way funnier than a lot of comedies.
Not funny all along, but there are a lot of great jokes, moments.

I didn't see this sad ending coming, even if we can guess it, considering the job they do.
But it seems in fact that it's not as sad as we 1st think.

Universal Soldier
A veeery good actioner!

I didn't see it since so many years. I so wanna see it again.

I remember anyways it's a very good original story of an android soldier remembering his life, before he died at war and was resuscitated to be used as an immortal soldier.
A journalist come to their base to write an article about them, but as the government want to hide things like the fact they used dead soldiers to create those living weapons, they send them to kill her.
And the hero (played by Jean-Claude Van Damme) as he has a consciousness and memories of his past, before he was dead, finally try to save her against his collegues.

I'm very excited, cause even if it isn't here, I heard about a new sequel.
But I didn't know there were already 3. I thought there were only 1 sequel (that I saw). Also cause I heard about a new sequel a short time ago, called Universal Soldier III.
But so, it'll be the Vth.

Very cool!

I thought to see it in 3D, but finally went to another theatre, where it passed in 2D.

When I 1st heard about this film, I thought to Alvin and the Chipmunks, that I loved.
This movie is really different, but it has some common points.
Apart the fact that there are talking animals, they are rodents, like the chipmunks; and 3, like them.

The effects are very well done, as we never doubt that we are following guinea pigs (and mice, and a mole) who are talking and doing some secret agents stuff.
It's totally credible, although it's in fact totally UNcredible, senseless.

Le petit Nicolas
Very funny and cute!

I loved to read the books of Le petit Nicolas as a child (and also the unedited stories that I read recently), so, I was pretty excited learning they were doing a movie.
And a bit afraid in the same time to be disappointed of course.

Seeing the trailer some times ago, I thought it would be good, but I didn't think to laugh that much; mainly during 2 scenes, where a lot of people in the theatre laughed their ass off too.

The cast is pretty good (all those children we never saw before played well their roles).
The original story they wrote for the film is interesting, moving and fun.
The good point is that they didn't at all betray the spirit of the books. They even used a lot of supporting characters, some elements of the novels, some situations of those, and some dialogues, quotes.

So, in 1 word like in 100, I clearly recommand to watch this, if you like to laugh.
Otherways, too bad for you!

American Pie Presents: Beta House
Average!

I think they should stop this series; maybe they even should've stopped it after the great American Wedding.
But it seems they have, finally.
I didn't see the 4th and 5th anyways.

The spirit, the interest of the 1st trilogy is totally absent, gone, and so, this movie title shouldn't contain American Pie.
It's stricly for business, and this can't make a good movie.

Lots of movies! Going to have to come back to this list later. I will comment again on the Dawn of the Dead remake. Zach Snyder is freaking brilliant. The music used in the remake is also fantastic.
