Dance of the Dead 2008, R)
Zombies are coming to the Prom, and it's up to the dateless geeks and outcasts (sci-fi club, the redneck bully, the guy and girl who were dumped the day before, the stoner rockband and the war happy gym coach) to stop them. |

Zombieland 2009, R)
This is definetely in my top 5 zombie flicks of all time. It was everything I thought it would be. The storyline was ok but the creativity was off the charts. I loved how the different zombie surviving rules would pop up throughout the movie and I don't think I've ever seen a zombie movie where zombies invaded an amusement park. It had lots of funny moments and Woody Harrelson's character risking life and "LIMB" for his dream of getting to eat some twinkies was hilarious. He was great as was the rest of the cast but I absolutely loved the cameo appearance by Bill Murray, his small yet effective role elevated my rating of this movie from 3 1/2 stars to 4. We may have a classic in the making with this one. |

Shaun of the Dead 2004, R)
Nothing like a plague of zombies in your town to make a guy mature and step up in his seemingly boring and routine filled crappy life. A very funny movie that is considered by many to be a modern day classic in the zombie or zomedie genre and rightfully so. I had lots of fun watching this and would recommend it to anyone trying to break into this movie genre. |

Night of the Living Dead 1990, R)
People are going to hate me for saying this, but I like this one a little better than the original. It's actually one of my favorite horror re-makes of all time. Tom Savini's directorial debut was a good one. The cast did a convincing job, especially Tony Todd, and Patricia Tallman who not only played a more independent and tougher "Barbara" was really hot at the same time. A good modern interpretation that stayed true to the original classic. |

Fido 2006, R)
What a cool movie! Perfect description of what a zomedie should be. Funny, scary at times and always keeps you watching to see what happens next, those are the results of an interesting storyline and a good cast. The thought of having your own zombie/servant is hilarious, just as long as the electronic collar stays on, if not all hell breaks loose and that's pretty much the story with this film. |

Land of the Dead 2005, R)
Zombies or "stenches", as they are called in this film have pretty much taken over and those left alive are confined to a walled-in city that keeps out the undead, but, the stenches are slowly evolving from brainless slow-moving zombies into more advanced creatures. They soon penetrate the outer walls and all hell breaks loose. |

Dawn of the Dead 2004, R)
Good zombie flick, although I prefer zomedies myself. The acting was decent, the storyline was good, reminiscent of the original classic but with a few twists, the gore level was high but not overdone. The make-up artists did a nice job with the zombies. One of the best horror re-makes to ever come out. |
