Films where the Guy doesn't get the girl, or the girl doesn't catch her man, or something just doesn't go as you'd expect! Always the best movies too.

My Own Private Idaho
First time I saw this film years ago, back when it first came out I loved it, but I still like it, but I don't remember how cheesy Keanu's acting is in it. I used to love him so that's probably why I didn't notice. River of course was stunning in it, very hot, very cute, and totally fucked up, which is why we love him. This is a better thing to remember River for than his last few films. I love the Shakespears tale of Henry IV entwined in the story too. Fab

My Best Friend's Wedding
I've always loved this film, it starts with the most brilliantly cutesy and kinda funny intro's ever, its just a fag hags dream, brilliant film. The best performance is from Rupert Everett who steals the whole film, he's hilarious as the forthrightly honest other best friend who happens to be gay. And it includes a truely stunning musical scene.

(500) Days of Summer
I'm a big fan of the sad break up movie, Eternal Sunshine is my favourite film, and this film has a very similar style to that film. However, I fell in love with both the central characters in Eternal Sunshine she - Clementine was free in a very attractive way, but still warm, and he was very sensetive, in a funny way. However this film found me siding only with the male lead - Joseph Gordon Levitt who is Love he's a fab actor, always good in films, and an excellent actor. I didn't like the character Zooey Deschanel plays in it at all, she's cold and mean, and didn't encourage any sympathy. I like Dechanel in other things, and didn't find her usual brilliance in this film. And I love the Gube! Its great to see him in a film.

Brill, Clooney is amazing as the heartless business man hired to fire people. He really seems confortable at first in his role and without giving too much away, I love how the film doesn't compromise for the american film industry. Nice one George and Jason Reitman, good combo!! And OMG Sam Elliot as another god like character love it!!

The Butterfly Effect
It looks like a really interesting film, great storey to a point, then you just end up not caring about the main character it twists and turns the plot too much, I just got bored with all the twists, so the depressing ending, made me feel like I was cheated out of the hours it took to watch it! It had promise, but ended very badly! Not the best!

Black Swan
Good film, but I expected a great film, for all its hype. It was an interesting story about a girl going mad, but I've seen films of this type done better. If you like Ballet it'll be your cup of tea, but I'm not fussed on it and I thought it was a bit dull in places. It copied the shock tactics of Asian Horror films, even taking stuff straight out of Mirror's and Into the Mirror, like the Mirror image moving independantly. Still not good enough for me sorry.
